Hey,

I'm planning on taking my EMT class at Fast Response in Berkeley, but I
want to see if anyone else has taken their EMT class and was job placement
easy after completion? Is it worth the $2,500 or should I just take an EMT class
at a community college for cheaper? I've heard Fast Response is supposed to be
one of the best EMT schools out here. Any suggestions would help.

Thanks.

$2500 for emt class!!! HELL NO! U gonna spend 2500 for a classs u can take hella other places for a fraction of the price. emt class is emt class no matterwhere u take it. fyi, an emt only makes like $12-15 an hour. u make all yur money through over time, so if u wanna work 60-80 a week to make some good moneygood luck.

I'm an Emt. Those programs are really expensive and are just as good as one you can take at a city college. Im retaking the class right now over at skylinecuz I let my cert expire. Equipment, books, and the class only ran me 500. Heads up te job doesn't pay to well like everyone was saying. Either go for yourparamedic or go for the fire dept and you can make decent money.

Alright thanks. Becoming an EMT is the first step for me since I'm looking
into a career as a firefighter later on. Hmm, think I'll just take the EMT class
at my community college for cheaper.

Yo broccoliavenge, what city do you work for? And are you planning on
getting your paramedic license or going to the fire academy?
