Anywhere in SF that does a good job altering nba/nfl jerseys???

Any good spots in the city to alter jerseys? I have some jerseys that are too big that i'd like to alter and a niners jersey that i'd like to change the name plate to a different player name

I'd only imagine any competent tailor will be able to take care of the alterations for you.

I always get the sleeves cuffed on my football jerseys and I just take them to my tailor.

Do you cuff them yourself? How does one go about doing that? I'm new to the process

and what about the removal of numbers and name plates? I hear theres a special process to do this in a way that doesn't damage the jersey?

No I meant I take it to a tailor to get cuffed.

Even for the removal of embroidered and twill numbers/name plates, I can only imagine any competent seamstress or tailor would be able to do it.

They're professionals, they've mastered a certain trade. If they can't do it, you're probably SOL.

I'm really just speculating though, if you want a more informed answer I'd suggest you head over to the jersey thread in the sneaker showcase forum, lots of knowledgeable dudes over there.
