Yup. Remember, a screen size only holds so many pixels. So if you had a higher one, there really is no real difference unless if the image is more clear hence the lens.

No one, and I mean no one prints their photos no more. 8MP is fine for social media.

Putting it simply,
More megapixels allows you to make LARGER prints.
At smaller print sizes, the difference in megapixels is indistinguishable.

If you want a camera, go buy a camera.

i understand Megapixels arent everything. But come on all the new phones right now are coming with 13-16mp cameras. Not to mention better screen resolution than the iPhone.
