I mean if the screen cracks, get it fixed. It doesn't cost THAT much.
Of course nobody wants to have to pay for that, but that's also why you have insurance and/or AppleCare+.
All that said, I'm not drop-prone, so maybe that's why I feel that way. Now my wife? She'd have a cracked screen within a week.

Man i think i paid to get my 5's screen fixed at least 5 times smh. Always loved the phone without a protector but once i got my 6 i was like nah no way im going through that again paying 200-300+ just on screen repairs. Got the slim black otter box case (which btw ive always hated people who would put their iphones in them big *** bricklike otterboxes making their phones looking ugly as hell, this one tho - aesthetically pleasing) ive dropped this phone a bunch of times i dont even sweat.
