Yea Apple TV should have a direct link.  You could also AirPlay it from your Apple device to your Apple TV from Apple.com 

Yeah that second point you mentioned I don't want to do, my MBP is super old so it doesn't work with my Apple TV and I don't want to AirPlay off my phone.

That's a stretch. But if they begin building Mario games for mobile, maybe they'll put more effort into building more powerful consoles for third party games

And this real-time collab feature seems to be a way to compete with Google Docs. Meh.

I still use Office for the familiarity and the fact that my job still uses it.
