My plan going forward is to just pay for the phone out right to keep my unlimited data plan until ATT ends it. Which seems to be their plan at some point since they keep raising the price and since its no longer an available option.

But crazy that to get a 7+ with 32gig i have to drop $769 pre tax. Its like my phone is nice...but id rather just get a new mac book air for around that price ($899 base for low end i5 model) and keep my iphone 6

when they upgrade the screen and drop the bezel next year with some fast charging capability il pick up an iphone 8

Yo, I just remembered the DIrecTv x AT&T unlimited data plan. I'm going to be switching over to that .

Me and my mom pay $220/mo for 2 lines, with the new unlimited plan we will be paying $140.

It's $100 for the first for $40 for all the rest. 4th line is Free.

My one advice is you're trying to pre order- try to pre order off the Apple website at midnight when they launch pre orders.

They fulfill their store stock needs and their Apple pre orders first. Carrier pre orders come second.

I literally had to wait a month after it came out before i got it in the mail.. by then all the stores had steady stock for the most part.

Always pre-order with Apple at 3AM EST. Preordering with your carrier is not the way to go

But the worst part is that they did the whole "we refunded your money until it ships" thing, so I had the $$$ sitting in my account, couldn't spend it or it would decline, made it extra tempting to just go in and try to buy one and let the pre order decline.

But anyways, I'll be one of those "sheep" standing in line, waiting for the Verizon store to open cause I ain't playin no games this year papi

If I pre-order with Apple the only way to pay for it month to month is by signing up for their renewal plan correct? That's the only hesitation I have with pre-ordering with them instead of my carrier.

It's confirmed that you can keep your current plan

But the issue might be a rep might lie and force you to change

I meant that new T-Mobile One plan isn't all that good depending on your current. Especially if you like HD video and tether.

From looking at it you just pay apple monthly for the phone with their upgrade program.

Apple isn't a phone service , so you use apples upgrade plan or buy outright from apple/carrier to keep your plan

Got the AT&T unlimited plan this way. I don't even have directv my mom does but I signed her up years ago with my email cause she isn't tech savvy so they sent me that offer and I proceed to cook. Could even use my discount

Fresh off the unveiling of the new iPhone 7, Apple has quietly made some changes to its AppleCare+ extended warranty. Though the updates weren’t mentioned on stage, the new changes did not go unnoticed. In the past Apple charged $129 USD to purchase the protection plan which now only costs $99 USD to cover. For replacing a shattered screen, it will now only cost you $29 USD compared to $99 USD Apple previously had in place. However, if the screen is damaged outside of the U.S., customers will still need to pay a fee of $99 USD for replacement and those who are not covered by AppleCare+ will need to pay between $129 USD and $149 USD. Unfortunately, this doesn’t apply to consumers in regions where AppleCare+ is unavailable. With the new iPhone 7 being waterproof, at least that’s one less worry on our plate.

Dropped my 6 plus last night (has case) and it spiderwebbed something crazy. Was going to hold out until the 8 but I don't have apple care and the cost for a new screen might not be worth it.

Have you used the Apple Store App in the past?  How did it work?  Also, Pre-orders start tonight at midnight PST or 3PM EST tomorrow?? Thanks guys

I was thinking the same but I realized that Apple does a credit check.  I'm rebuilding my credit and don't need any unnecessary credit checks.  I'm already with AT&T so I decided to just do it through them.  I'm gonna do AT&T Next  and not pay full price and upgrade every 12 months. 

As far as Apple Care already included in the Apple plan I realized that for $8/mo. I already have Mobile Insurance w/AT&T which already covers lost, stolen, out of warranty coverage. Apple Care doesn't cover lost or stolen.  

I think I'm gonna try using the Apple Store app though.  I've heard people say that's more reliable.

I've been using a 4gb 5C since April as a replacement for my stolen 6. The struggle is very real lol. Was just gonna cop a 6S when it got marked down, but the 7 is intriguing. The only feature i really like is the dual lens camera BUT it only comes on the Plus model, which feels freaking gigantic in hand. Still debating 7+ vs 6S.
