Aqua 8s Black Friday 2015

really? source? my guess woulda been that retros account for most of their sales and are what really keeps JB afloat. who the hell buys jordans other than retros?

Oh, you'd be surprised! A lot of folks buy the Super Fly's, True Flights, etc.  Nike Corp. is so multifaceted!  Example: At my son's elementary school the Roshe game is so strong!! That's a $100 shoe! My kid comes home "Dad! Tommy got those new camo Roshe's with the volt"

Of course, my boy hits them all week with a variety of J's, KDs, Kyrie''s, LeBron's AND Roshe's!!

 Such a fun hobby!

and these are clean as hell..the quality is on point with my pair... the grey actually doesnt look so bad in person...im mad the retrocard got bent but whatever

I don't think this year's Aqua's or Bordeaux's actually had Durabuck. If that's the case, then the 2014 Infrareds did too. Now please here me out before you all start roasting. I've been brought to this conclusion based on the following.
1. If anyone owns the 2014 Infrareds, you probably noticed that JB used 2 different Nubuck materials on the upper.
View media item 1806256The red marks indicate the sections of the shoe that has a different texture than the rest of the shoe. It looks and feels exactly like the material on the black portion of the Aqua's. I have both pairs on hand and if you don't, you probably won't know what I'm talking about.
2. While some may say no because there isn't any grey lining there, if you look at the show you'll notice the other material is directly on top of the red marked portions so you wouldn't be able to see it any way.
3. Either it's Durabuck on the 2014 Infrareds on the red marked areas I shown or its Nubuck. I'm pretty sure if the two have the same material then the Aqua's and Bordeaux's (which used the same material) are Nubuck as well. I remember hearing someone, maybe MJO23DAN MJO23DAN say that Nubuck comes in many forms and I think this is the case. I think we are still confused as to what Durabuck is and is not.

Before ANYONE tries to jump on my comments I'll just say this, if you don't have both the 2014 Infrareds and the 2015 Aqua's, and have taken a good look at both materials you are not going to have any idea what I'm talking about, so please save your comments.

I own all three pairs you're referring to.

1. You are correct with the 6s and the 8s, it feels about the same and i prefer this type of material over the Boredauxs

2. I hate the bordeauxs materials and how flimsy it feels, don't get me started on the amount of creases that won't end.

3. I believe the materials are Nubuck that you pointed out before, as durabuck is extremely smooth with little to no texture.

4. You are right that Durabuck, Nubuck, and even Suede has different forms, usually referred to high or low grains of hairs on the material.

5. I hate the 2015 Bordeaux 7s material.

Now was that mold spores picture on the shoe inserts for the aquas real or was guy just trolling?
every pair at a local champs came with a trash replacement box of their choosing because all their boxes had mold. Idk wtf is up with Nike and mold

I was a lil skeptical about picking these up. my '07 aquas aren't the freshest but def still wearable. I even went around 5:30pm to pick em up. I think I was just being cheap :lol...I've been spending a lot of money lately. I got home and opened up the box and legit felt like this emoji :eek. the lighter grey along the laces, straps, and back of the sneaker, the glitter on the midsole, and even the insole print. these are beautiful and > '07. happy I picked these up. def putting these on ice for a while but can't wait til I pull these out on a nice day with a nice fit. :Nthat

Got an extra pair of MTM 7s...bout to trade em in for the Aquas. It's great JB made enough pairs to satisfy the public demand. But I get the feeling the 11s and cement 4s wont have the same outcome.

I picked up my pair that I won in the raffle through Foot Locker, EARLIER.

I think it was around 1:30-2:00 PM EST...

The Kenwood mall here in Cincy was THICK as ****, as usual on Black Friday....

Anyways, when I got there the chick at the register (BAD AS ****) pulled up some Adidas Superstars at first....

The s*** had me nervous as **** :lol , but I told her I had the 8's then it was ALL GOOD...

I should've tried to get her number, but I haven't been doin' so good in that area of life :lol ...

I would've posted pics earlier, but I just got to takin' em like an hour ago for real...

& here they go NTers...

:Nthat

& a couple of pics with my previous cops....

:D

:hat

Like I said before, this is the BEST retro this year IMHO....

Quality is very nice, and like many others already said, the grey is a alot darker than it looks...

I went ahead in COPPED a second pair off EastBay this morning, like I said y'all, I HAD to double up...

:lol

I had to wait like 15-20 mins, and I had to call customer service to make the order went through...

But long story short, it was ALL good in the end....

I'll post more pics when I get the second pair....

I'm 4-0 on Black Friday releases now...

And I now have the Black/Cement 4's, Black/Metallic 5, Black/Infrared 6's, Bordeux 7's (2011's), Aqua 8's, Columbia 11's & the Playoff 13's

I'm just missin' the Black/Cement 3's and Playoff 12's when it comes to All-Star Jordan's.

(I slept on both when they last retroed)

:{

Anyways, I hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving, and the people who REALLY wanted a pair were able to cop...

It seems like there's STILL more to go around from the looks of THIS thread, EVERYONE ATE!!!

It's LOOKIN' like this around these parts!

:lol

Also, BIG SHOUT OUT to @MJO23DAN
for the OG, 2007 & 2015 comparison video.

It was a MASTERPIECE G, I'm subscribed to your YouTube channel also!

I might pass on the 72-10's now y'all, I haven't got my mind made up though yet.

how do those nomos fit and feel?

Wish eastbay didn't have that exclusion on em, it takes months for them to take it off too.

it actually doesnt if nobody is purchasing them.

those weird looking 8's with the overweight jumpman on the tongue got its exclusion removed in two days

and the sweater vii as well

exclusions get lifted fast when a shoe doesnt move.

not saying aquas will sit hard like those though

nobody bought the purple tech challenge 3 on finishline and them things quickly dropped to 59. that is my favorite release this year. 43 bucks out the door

Glad I finally got some clarification, the aquas, bordeauxs, 2012 2aptors, playoff 8s are not durabuck but actually Nike's own version of the material because durabuck stopped production in 1998 right ???? @MJO23DAN
