Harlem has always been all black. And it's not all impoverished apartments and/or living.

The Bronx, notably the South Bronx, was good until the state of NY decided to uproot everyone living there to build the Cross Bronx Expressway. Dropping the price of housing and attracting those who can afford it. Its getting better, I think, right?

Bedstuy still has nice brownstones there.

Yp and that's exactly their point. Brownstones in Carroll Gardens + Park Slope etc are way more expensive than those in Bedstuy and it's cuz white people dominate carroll + PS but blacks dominate Bedstuy etc.

I know people who have moved out of their homes because more black people were moving into the neighborhood and the value of their house was dropping

white flight also occurs in areas with a high chinese/japanese/korean population because parents dont want their kids to have to compete with asian kids in school.  the best example i can think of is the cupertino area.
