Ayo, How do i get into Modeling/Acting? edited w pic..serious advice only please

Im a fairly handsome dude and I am always told i need to model... Im also 6'5, so how do i get this crackin? I have no passion for either, but i gotta getthis money so somebody help ya boy out. Any of yall act/model? heres a pic,
im 6'5 210...Im not skinny but im not brolic either.... Im in Kentucky right now (shoulda stayed my @%+ in NJ)

I don't think modeling or acting should be looked at as a quick way to make a buck. And good looks don't get you a role or down a runway. Find alocal model agency and take a local acting class or two. I'm sure there's a few workshops locally that you could do.

Seriously though, cant you just contact a modelling agency with a portfolio or photos shots or get advice off a real model?? Too handsome to pick up the phone(no !$!@). And they say models are too dumb for anything else, i dunno where'd they get that from....

there are many many acting/modeling scams out there, so watch out and don't sign anything until you make sure it's legitimate.

Get a portfolio .
Hire / pay some photographers to take pictures of you ... head shots , body shots , everything .
Take that portfolio and shop it . Learn how to walk .

I worked for a modeling management company (not agency) last summer. Getting in to the biz is not as easy as it may seem. You're gonna have to invest a lotof money in to this that you may not get back. For someone that does not have a passion for this industry, this may not be a good idea. However, like everyoneelse said you should get a portfolio started as soon as possible and get some type of prefessional legit management.

Too Tall.
Most male models range from 5'10 - 6'2 no taller and the shortest is 5'7 depending on the agency, shoe size 9-12, weight is like 145-170. Thatsusually the fit of the models at my school are, its pretty standard.
Def. read the requirements before stepping foot in a modeling agency to make sure your what there looking for, but I honestly believe your too tall.

I know alot of models/photographers. It's all about who you know. And I'm pretty sure there are NO opportunities to get big living in Kentucky. Youneed to move to nyc (word to made) and sign up at some modeling agencies. I have some pretty good connects on the inside (Playboy, mtv, terry richardson, heidislimane, etc.)

its very rare, most people that tall dont model, and most actors that tall break into acting through comedy i.e. Vince Vaughn, Will Ferrell. Or you could takesome of the ball player roles from Rick Fox

All is not lost which I forgot to mention you would probably searching for "Big and Tall Male Models" and find plenty of places looking for them. Youcould also take a chance and go to the agencies anyway, because sometimes if they really like you they'll make exceptions.
But that would mean you would have to already know how to work your large stature in photos.
