Azealia Banks Vs. Iggy Azalea tension grows, Iggy Responds to Banks

The Bronson thing seems like a misunderstanding.

Basically

Once they got personal **** just went too far [emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji][emoji]128514[/emoji]

Then action made the biggest mistake with that "you people" ****....that's why qtip checked him and he Deion backpedal

all this broad Banks does is bring race into a situation, she's bitter about something but i'm not sure what. she keeps clinging onto that same race issue that whites keep getting more exposure than a black artist. she's stereotyping people too much.

yall still focusing on the wrong thing

Facts, it's so much deeper than Banks vs Iggy.

It's about finding something that black culture is about to make popular/financial gain and sticking a white person in there to do it.

On some have the black guy singing but put a white person on the album cover to make it sell

I don't blame Iggy she's just a pawn in the situation, T.I is corny for this though but he already said it's about the money :lol

singing their songs

why am I agreeing with you

I understand the hate for Iggy but Banks just looks dumb coming at Bronson. He is no white puppet that's going to steal grammys from black artist. He stays in his own lane and has a dedicated fan base. Nowhere near exploiting it how she puts it. Anyone following this broads lead will have themselves looking dumb too because even though her motives are with good intentions she is obnoxious.

exactly, she's not poppin so she's gonna take that route which will get people to support her..especially with whats been going on...I give her that if she wanted to be controversial she picked the right time to do it....but it is deeper than banks n iggy

My problem with the cultural appropriation argument is that hip hop culture was/is more than willing to abandon it's values for some money. You can't chase pop money without swimming in pop waters. Altering your sound & by default your values in order to gain access to the mainstream market comes with a price. The fans should be blaming themselves. You cheer these dudes while they grab as much as they can with no regard for it effect on the culture. You openly mock artists who talk about protecting the values of the culture. Mock artists who aren't ultra wealthy.
Hip hop has been sloring itself out for a minute. Now you want to get offended because the next man is treating the culture with little respect? You want to accuse this chick of getting her black face popping when we all cheered these other dudes schucking & jiving for that white people pop money?
Hip hop did this to itself. It created a monster it couldn't control.
My question is what did you think was going to happen? Iggy is the inevitable outcome of a culture more than willing to sell its soul.

Yall just don't like the approach but there's a bunch of people saying the same thing. Cole, Drake, Kendrick

Banks is right about almost everything she said. She just needs to calm the **** down and stop with the extra stuff. The stuff she's been saying about TIP and his wife are crossing the line then she acting she punked him. LOL she's a female what is he supposed to do? The girl is smart but she's one those girls that thinks she can say whatever and people ain't supposed to respond. I don't even take Iggy serious. She's just the female Macklamore.

This ***** lame af.
Hatin on another artist tryna eat
You just mad cus her **** poppin and your **** floppin.
Your only known more for hating on ppl than your music.
Big yourself up not tear other ppl dwn.

Recognizing injustice is one thing, but **** you gone do bout it? Cry?
You not dropping knowledge or exposing nothing people didn't know decades ago.
*****, please. Wish I could get them 48 mins back.

Hip hop didn't do it to itself.

Hip hop was people in the park doing it for free. Who brought money in to the equation? Who changed it from being a hobby to being a career?

Who decides on the acts who get signed? Who signs the acts? Who approves what goes on the albums? Who decides what album is coming out? Who gets those songs in rotation?

You think all of a sudden after the late 80's and 90's black music just stopped being conscious? Died with Tupac?

Just like how black movies in the 80's and 90's went from being diverse to being a dude dressed in drag.

What was Azealia talking about specifically? I'm on my phone now. Is she more on appropriation or upset at the amount of white rappers?

appropriation.......

only folks who always deflect bringing up the "upset with white rappers" ****

Iggy stereotyped them, not us. You think she just made that rapping voice with those exact pronunciations up herself?
It's called finding your voice.

I got love for KRIT but that's almost like me saying KRIT disrespected UGK by tryna sound like Pimp even though he isn't from Texas and never knew Pimp.

Everybody arguin about somethin different tho lol

I love watching white people on here defend Iggy and Macklemore. Iggy and Macklemore are the problem but so are the fans, the label and execs. As long as people support this awful music, the racist execs will continue to push this ********.

I respect Banks, Q Tip and Solange for speaking up about it. I know most artists with a big fanbase can't speak up because that's how you get blackballed and dropped for messing up their business. I wish more artist would speak up and do something about this mess. Rap is so ******* dead in 2014 and it's only getting worse.
