Bachelor Pad.

Nothing beats the smell of fresh cut grass. That's the thing I miss about Idaho since I moved to the city of Socal

I love the Philips Hue system. I have it paired to my Google Home, so I'm able to talk to the lights to turn on and off. It seems silly at first, but once you get used to it, it feels weird to go hit a light switch.

Favorite things
- You can set it to turn on and off when you leave or arrive home. Lights automatically turn on as you're pulling up is a cool touch.
- You can set routines and try to help out your daily life. You can tell it to start dimming the lights at a certain time as a signal to go to bed. Same thing for waking up in the morning.
- Playing around with different colors and lights.. it seems simple but once you start doing it it's a lot of fun to change up the lights and set the mood in different ways.

Overall, it's a really simple and cool way to start playing around with home automation and it was one of my favorite purchases as of late.

That’s dope man, I have the “google Home” on the way in the mail too. I want to make the whole house switch over to hue then I realized how many lights I have. Lol. Def gonna be a process.

Yeah for sure. Build it up slow and wait for good deals and sales. I picked up my starter kit from Amazon's Warehouse to save a few bucks.. then caught a good deal on a white light multi-pack that I put in the bathroom. And then bought a light strip on sale too from Best Buy.

Definitely keep an eye out on sales, set an alert on Slickdeals for Hue lights, don't go out and buy the whole house for retail. It can build up slowly for sure.

what's roseville like?

Roseville is really nice, it’s definitely one of the “upper class” areas of the Sacramento region. I actually work in Roseville and the commute from work to home in Rancho Cordova is probably 30 min? If you decide to move this way let me know, I work in mortgage and have a bunch of realtor buddies that are willing to help with the process.

Good Looking. Trying to exhaust all the Los Angeles options first then look north before I sign off on moving out of state.

I love Roseville, CA.

Best mall in the Sacramento Area. Beautiful homes. Nice people. Lots of good restaurants. Close to Top Golf & Thunder Valley Casino (Nicest Casino in CA IMO).

This is a relief. Homes are still affordable in that area and it would keep me in CA.

Trying to buy the wife a house anywhere but Texas lol.

She keeps throwing the "money stretches more in TX" but I rather pay more to stay in CA

I've never been to Roseville but I've heard the same remarks. My buddy who lived in the Bay Area lives up there since he has kids now. School systems are supposed to be good and even has a small community vibes with block parties and what not. Only thing I couldn't stand is the weather. Way too hot for my taste.

EVERYTHING IN THE BASEMENT IS COMPLETE EXCEPT THE FLOORS. WENT AND CHECKED OUT SOME FLOORING TODAY AND DECIDED ON SOME FAUX GREY ASH WOOD VINYL. SHOULD BE INSTALLED NEXT WEEK. THEN I CAN START DECORATING AND MOVING THE ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM, MY HOT TOYS COLLECTION AND SNEAKER COLLECTION DOWN HERE. ALSO HAD TO ORDER A PRETTY BEASTLY DEHUMIDIFIER FROM APRILAIRE TO CONTROL THE HUMIDITY DOWN HERE. THE BASEMENT ISNT WET BUT IT CAN GET UNCOMFORTABLE WITH THE HUMID AIR AFTER IT RAINS.

SO CLOSE TO BEING DONE DOWN HERE. CONSTANT MARCH OF CONTRACTORS IN OUR HOUSE IS GETTING TIRESOME LOL.

what's roseville like?
Roseville, Lincoln, Rocklin, Folsom, and Granite Bay all great spots in that area
Got fam who live up there and have housing up there great options for a great price still

that was my next stop if i didnt close.

people dont know but lots of companies have sattelite offices up there, so there are jobs and you can actually get some peace and quiet.

Also Tahoe and Reno are literally a hop and a skip away

good luck man

Anybody got a go to spot for lighting? Only my living room doesnt have a ceiling light, need to get one, want a floor lamp and and table lamp

Lived in Roseville for about 3 years. Good place to raise a family and not be too far from everything. Moved away due to not really liking the suburban type feel.

But it is one of the nicer areas in the Sacramento region. I would recommend it.

The girls from Granite Bay:pimp:

Appreciate the input. My 20 month old dictates where we're moving to. No backyard....pass. too hood...pass.

That's the most frustrating part of Los Angeles....you're paying 600-900k to live in the hood. A couple nice pockets but it's literally only a couple blocks from neighborhoods you don't want to walk thru.

Wish we could stay in our area but the boy needs his own space without me having to worry if our tenants gonna complain about him running, crying, etc.

IF YOU CAN AFFORD TO PAY THAT TO LIVE IN LA, YOU WOULD BE LIVING LIKE A KING ELSEWHERE. THAT WOULD GET YOU A MANSION AND LOTS OF LAND IN A LOT OF PARTS OF THE COUNTRY. ATLANTA, AUSTIN, NASHVILLE, AND SEATTLE ARE THE CHOICES I WOULD PICK.

I gotta wrap my head around leaving the city. I want to chill with the profits from selling the house but my *** can't commit smh
