Best credit card that gives most points?

I want to apply for a credit card that can give me points that i can use to a vacation or whatever they can offer. i have good credit around 740 and will pay off what i have left about 400 dollars. i was looking at the american express card and wanted to know everyone elses experiences with cards that give points. which is the best one that has someone decent interest rates?
