96-03 Avalons are great as far as longevity as well. Bigger than the Camry and comes in a V6. Mine just crossed 200K. That 1MZFE Engine FTW!
Just keep up maintenance as far as oil changes to avoid sludge.

i copped my 06 impala w/ 20k miles from an elderly woman for 9k (before tax title and fees)
this was back in 09... 4 years later, i have 125k miles on it... never had any major trouble...
the worst thing i've had was tires... but that's with any car...
i get the oil changed every 3k miles.... no more, no less... i'm always punctual when it comes to oil changes...
the 06-12 impala design to me just seems like its not going to go anywhere... it looks modern enough to stick around for some more years...
accords are always pretty
too...had a homey drive one all trhough college... never gave him fits.
