Better Call Saul Season Thread - Season Six - April 18th

I stopped watching midway through S2... has it still been slow? Worth getting back into? I wasn't engrossed as much as I was with BB.

I thought Gus picked up the drop with the broom and dust pan? Jimmy (or anyone for that matter) would have never suspected. [emoji]128064[/emoji] 8o

Good episode.

Good episode.
Nice catch but I was watching and if the guy dropped something it was before Jimmy got there and the camera never caught it.

I think Gus sweeping nearby was the signal to back off. Jimmy wasn't gonna miss somethin on the floor, and nothin of value gonna sit there small enough to get swept up and not be seen.

Jimmy had me anxious as hell with all that obvious staring. Gus' intuition is keen, he knew Jimmy was a spy.
Ready to find out how they all got on the same team.

am I the only one who suspects Gus was giving Mike the run around the whole time, just testing his abilities.

The whole time? Nah.

Gus went to great lengths so that Walt couldn't even get to him and even after that made himself very hard to reach.

I feel like he put a guy on Mike to tail and make sure he stayed away from Hector. He had no idea Mike figured that out and then tracked things down to find him at his cover job.

You saw Gus face when Jimmy left. Son was not happy and he correctly figured out this was Mike's doing.

Next week doesn't look like it's gonna go down as I was just testing your skills. Now that I see they are up to par I will offer you a position in my organization.

That's not how Gus works.

The worst part of Chuck is that Jimmy took care of him at his worst and Chuck still, was never going to let Jimmy cook.
I think he is more or at least as responsible for turning him into Saul and Jimmy himself is.

**** man, who needs enemies when you've got Family like Chuck.

From what I've seen, Chuck didn't want Jimmy in his life at all after a certain point.

And hell deep down Chuck may know his condition is bull **** so he doesn't even value Jimmy taking care of him. More like a way to punish Jimmy and make him a bit more responsible in one of the most passive aggressive ways possible.

Plus, Chuck loves the law more than he loves Jimmy. I see that now.

Agree. He's above seeing Jimmy be well, that's how "above" Jimmy he thinks he is.

About to start the episode now.

I'm about ready to swing on son. The actor. to be that shady, you gotta draw from real life. he a snake.

Gus making drops in his restaurant isn't how Gus works tho.

Gus didn't want to talk to Walt because he never liked Walt, even before they ever met he said he didn't care for how Walt operated. Also the fact that Walt became even more of an egomaniac as time went out gave even more reason to be avoided.

Well what's being dropped isn't money or drugs obviously :lol So yes, he does do those drops in his restaurant.

All Mike saw was the guy that he followed get something by the bridge and then go to the chicken spot with a bag and leave without one. Whatever it is Gus has it so it can be delivered by different ppl in different ways.

As for Walt, he's not a special case. Gus does not make himself available to anybody that doesn't already know what he does and even then you'd have to have a good reason to get him to meet with you. He's not gonna waste time testing Mike in that way especially with that much wasting of time.

And again with Walt, he wasn't the huge egomaniac until after Gus brought him in and gave him a new kitchen/lab to cook in. There was no more avoiding Walt after they first met.

the guy had the bag with him when he left the first time.

anyway it was cool to see Gus' Volvo, Los Pollos Hermanos, Francesca, Gus, Victor

Gus was near the end when Jimmy was in Polo. He was watching Jimmy while he was watching for the drop for Mike.

Plus, Chuck loves the law more than he loves Jimmy. I see that now.

Chuck saw the law as his thing and something he loves.

He feels Jimmy is infringing on it and isn't taking it as seriously. He looks him as a little brother, then he became a threat, both to him possibly him being good at it and also his reputation if he's not. He's probably very insecure because of his condition, and that's what he's known for now. The law is the only thing he has left.

Plus at the end of the day he knows he's a scammer at heart.

But Jimmy has accepted Chuck for the way he is, but it hasn't been reciprocated.

Son :rollin :rollin :rollin

What is the New Mexico legal system like that destroying a tape is a serious offense that can go to trial? What are the charges? B&E? Destroying property? Can't really be theft.

Chuck made all of that seem too easy. Jimmy's anger got him making the dumbest moves.

Breaking and entering?

Gus has cameras watching the whole restaurant. He must have seen Saul from the moment he entered. Saul kept looking around, then kept his eye on the dude, moved his seat. Gus saw all of that ****.

Anyone notice the Fire and Ice theory when Jimmy was trying to break it down to Kim what happened between him and chuck. His room was red, portraying that he was actually Saul at that specific moment.
