Better Call Saul Season Thread - Season Six - April 18th

Yeah, I do recall it being mentioned on BB that Hector became wheelchair bound because of strokes. Maybe Gus induced those strokes in failed hits, who knows.

Solid episode

My favorite of the season for sure.

"A bullet to the head would be far too humane"

Gus :hat

That statement is why I think he had something to do with Hector being wheel chair bound. He needed him to suffer.

Someone remind me why Hector wanted to kill Gus so bad in BB?

Was it something to do with him not avenging the twins?
I don't recall him ever wanting to kill Gus. I remember that from their first introduction he was just a jerk to Gus and he killed his brother.

I am convinced Gus put him in that chair.

Solid episode. Loved how Gus flipped that meeting into a pep talk :lol :hat

He didn't trust Gus because he was dark skinned and from Chile. Also because he was suspected of being homosexual. All of that factored into his dislike of Gus from way back.

He wanted to kill Gus because he found out Gus was responsible for the twins being killed. Gus went to the the retirement center to visit him and was gloating about how he set them up and he killed the Don Eladio and the rest of the cartel members.

Hector never liked Gus. Whether because of race, nationality, perceived homosexuality, jealousy over his success (this episode really brought into focus how jealous he was that Gus was kicking up so much money and in a professional manner). Once Hector found out that Gus wiped out the whole cartel, including his nephews, Walt's plan sounded like the best deal he could get. Either way, Hector was going to die but at least he could take Gus out with him.

BINGO.

I see this being the move as well. They've laid out Chuck's craziness very well over the first two seasons. All Jimmy has to do is illustrate how irrational he is, say that he said what he said on tape to play into Chuck's fantasy as he has been with the electricity phobia and then have Mesa Verde say that Kim is a stand up person who would never resort to forgery to get a job. Also, the doctor in season 1 wanted to have Chuck committed. I wonder if she'll show up again. 8o

Anyone notice the wind chimes sounding like bells when Hector stood by the pool? 8o

So I was rewatching some of BB and I was on the scene when they brought in Hector to try and blame Jesse for Tuco death. And Hector takes a liquid poop right in the interrogation room.

This is when Hanks partner was saying how Hector was an OG and he did 17 years without snitching. This leads me to believe how ruthlessly Gus stripped everything from Hector and left him with nothing to rot in a jail cell.

I mean that Inhumane line was on par with the Say my Name line IMO.

Man after watching Better Call Saul...I'm getting pissed at how Walt and Jesse had to go and ruin it for everybody...

I just watched the scene again where Walt meets Gus at Pollos Hermanos...he should've never trusted him smh...

Hell now that I think about it everybody lost because of Walt...Gus, Mike, Walt's his family, himself...

This was a good episode tho...my favorite so far...its gettin juicy now

this show is going to make us hate walt even more than who knows what

just watching the rise of mike makes me sad how it ended for him  & walt still tried to say sorry to him out in that field smh lol

i got goosebumps when mike said he might take up the offer to work with gus

it was like  watching star wars and anakin skywalker taking the darkside..we knew he had it in em..just waiting for the  major turning point

Most of these characters are complicated. I don't know if we're supposed to like any of them tbh. Most of the main characters in BB and BCS had humble beginnings and then things went left in their lives and they started to get involved in criminal activities.
