Better Call Saul Season Thread - Season Six - April 18th

Yet, you're still watching the show. Nobody's forcing to watch Better Call Saul if you don't like it.

I enjoy Jimmy's storyline a lot.

Trust me, I'm not tuning in religiously like I was prior but I can have my complaints abd still enjoy the watch.

Just watched Monday's episode. Best episode of the series so far and it isn't even close.

Also, is there anything to Howard being all shadowed out after him and Chuck had the 1 on 1?

I still don't trust dude.

Howard has had enough of Chuck's moral brigade to get Jimmy disbarred.

Jimmy effectively destroyed Chuck's credibility as a witness and shook the foundations of the case against him. He's obviously not going to get disbarred, but Chuck isn't going away. Jimmy humiliated Chuck in front of Howard and his ex-wife. Not to mention the fact that Chuck obviously harbors jealously and resentment at the fact that Jimmy was the favored son. I expect Howard to cut ties with Chuck because it's not in the best interest of HHM to continue to support Chuck's efforts to destroy Jimmy. Howard and the firm have bigger fish to fry.

I loved the scene where you could tell that Howard actually did kind of like Jimmy, bein in the mail room, putting himself thru law school with out anyone knowing, like Kim said, that kind of boot straps go getter, and he was blocked by his own brother. I think there was a sense that Howard would have actually appreciated Jimmy if not for his hating *** brother.

But I have now accepted this as a Breaking Bad Prequel.

Isn't that what we've known it to be since jump? :lol
Jimmy ******* McGill!!!!!!!!! :eek :rollin :hat

Eat a **** Chuck. :lol

They have been plotting that since S1 MASTERFUL.
All the way back to taking money out the cash register.

Does anyone have any theories as to how or why he eventually became Saul? I was thinking he got disbarred and didn't want to do anything else so he got in touch with a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy that helped change his identity.

Now I'm not so sure that is the issue because it seems like he will be ok with the BAR association after last week's episode. Maybe it was a way for him to reinvent himself because if he was disbarred I think he would be more low key and not have his face plastered all over buses, billboards, and park benches. Someone, Chuck or the other dude would definitely report him especially since he still operates in New Mexico.

I'm thinking from the preview that since he won the case and chuck is the laughing stock of their practice his ex wife begs him to change his name to distance himself from the McGill family.
That's why they say Saul goodman in the preview?
That's why he gets the film crew again to make new commercials??

I didn't see the preview so I'll check it out.

I can't wait for the big reveal on why he changes his name to Saul. I'm also expecting some kind of fallout with Kim whether it be Jimmy doing something illegal for her benefit again or he does another scam that backfires on him or her.

All the way back to taking money out the cash register.

Speaking of the cash register was anything else ever made of it? Or was it just between jimmy and their pops being a sucker it totaled 14k

He brought it up during his melt down, he yelled at Jimmy about stealing money from their parents. Part of the entire build up of Chuck's animosity towards his brother.

Yea I caught that but I don't remember if jimmy ever heard anything before that or if Kim brought it up when chuck told her

I don't think Kim is going to turn her back on him, ever.

On several occasions I said to myself "yea she's done with Jimmy, she's outie" and she never bails, she loves her some Jimmy, ride or die.

For me, that is what makes her so sexy.
AWG my ***, Kim is flames.
A soft spoken soft skinned Princess.

I hope her end isn't tragic because Saul never seemed depressed. My guess is she becomes tainted at some point but she goes down and does time. And Jimmy has to live with himself after corrupting his woman and watching her fall from grace.

I don't know I don't think the Saul break will have anything to do with Kim. She likes Jimmy and finds some attraction to him, they're are the same kind of people.

He probably makes some deal with HHM where they buy his name and he legally changed it.
I only say that because it's better TV that Kim and Jimmy remain a couple and carry on than to have her downfall be the culprit.

As long as BCS is on I think Kim and Jimmy are making moves together.

Slippin Jimmy and Slippin Kimmy

Damn...Chuck is DONE! He either dies or ends up in a mental institution. I doubt any harm is gonna happen to Kim, their storyline is more about the relationship, their careers, and the law. They're not physically in danger like in Breaking Bad

All that has to happen is Jimmy screws up again with her and she turns on him for good, probably moving out of NM. They're already potentially setting up her losing Mesa Verde, something is bound to backfire.

Chuck is still my guy though...dude is just crazy. I hope he's alive in the BB timeline and smiling at the end when he sees the news about Saul

It might not mean anything but I know that Vince suggested during the S3 premiere of Talking Saul that it's possible that Kim might have been around for the events in BB, but not shown because she has to do with Saul's personal life. Clearly she's a retconned character and given her nature, I doubt that if she did exist in BB she would have just kept quiet. It is interesting to see where things go. I personally think that the B&W scenes are building towards Saul and her reuniting.

This

I rewatched breaking bad not too long ago and was looking and they never really showed Saul doing anything other than working. So even tho Kim wasn't shown (and created for BCS) she could still be in jimmy/sauls life
