Finally got my pair and the infrared is definitely bright but I'm ok with that. I'm just happy it finally has 3M

You're not alone nor in the minority, the truth is the vast majority of folks that bought these are fine with the shoe. For every one person that complained or repainted the color, there's thousands that bought it and are wearing them. To date this year's release was the largest Nike has released of any shoe and by in large most retail stores and websites have exhausted their stock. I'd take that as a sign that majority of the buyers were ok with it.
And for those of us that didn't like the shade, we have the options to do what we like with our shoes or even hunt for the previous retros.

I'm just surprised so many people that copped the shoes had absolutely no idea what the infrared looked like. I mean it had just been on the whites 6s earlier that year. And on a lot of other 2014 retro Js too. They did only show pics of how they look when the flash is on them and when they look at their most red. I think it's pretty cool how the infrared changes colors depending on the lighting. Cant lie tho when I first got my whites I hated them because of the infrared but for some reason over time the color just started to grow on me. Glad I didn't sell my white infrareds now and REALLY glad I didn't pass on these.

My Air Jordan Vl collection.
Mentioned a few times in past threads that I held off on wearing any of the new Vl's this year, just for this picture, as i'm sure they'll never look this clean again once I start beating them into the ground. (Especially the Black Infrareds) Might be a little corny or lame, but I just really wanted to take these pics with the shoes as they are right now. All in all it's been a fun year, and I got my hands on a lot of shoes that I wanted. The only disappointment was the lack of the Maroon Vl's, but one gets over it. Besides those the only Vl I now don't have, that I want would be the DB's, and maybe the DMP's. And I only just copped the Motorsports like a few weeks ago, before the Black Infrareds dropped. Looking back at the start of the year I remember thinking that I wouldn't end up getting everything I wanted, but for once I actually did! Despite the color and quality complaints I hope everyone else enjoyed the year as much as I did, and is happy with what they purchased at the end of the day.

Very, very rare. Hope to build a collection like this one day. The black/infrareds are actually the second colorway of any pair of shoes I own so I'm starting to get there. Pardon me while I digress some. While on the subject of customizers, I'd advise y'all to stay as far away from this guy on inst going by BVNNNND_Customs (or BVNNNND, etc or some derivative of it). Real name Derek Hartfield. I can personally attest that he steals shoes (and funds) and deletes comments/followers calling him out on it. Apologies for venting but I wouldn't mind being directed to the proper forum/chain of command.

Heres the main problem with the color on these.
A lot of dudes copped these because they were Kanye's go-to's for a long time and the color on these don't look like the joints Kanye been wearing since 2010

i think infrared with white looks more acceptable than black with this 2014 infrared shade. it doesnt stand out so much on the 2014 white infrareds cuz white is light and so is this shade but the on black 2014 the contrast is so different

Do you guys think it would hurt to go a full size down in these? I hear a lot of ppl saying they went half size down and it was fine. Let me know please!
