with the ripping part aside, i would agree that eventually, HD movies on-demand will be the way to go as opposed to being on a hard media.... but right now, i believe even the online HD movies aren't as good in quality as BD (someone please confirm).... one would guess eventually technology will improve the quality of downloadable HD movies....

people keep saying the future is not in a disc. you know how long its gonna be till they stop doing disc?

its going to be a loooong while before we go to a pure download model. People fail to realize that one of the main hold ups are ISPs and theUS's internet infrastructure. Building up the internet capabilities and making sure ISPs don't over charge or cap bandwidth will push HD digitaldownloads well into the future.
