I really like what Leo Chang/Nike did with the KD VII. Forefoot zoom is bouncier than many of the other recent Nike releases. It's the same narrow rectangle unit that was in the KD V and VI, but it doesn't feel muted like how the Kyrie 1 forefoot zoom is and apparently the new hyper revs too. Heel max zoom is great too. Traction is consistent and durable. If you're curious about more on that shoe, hit me with a PM.
I hear you man. Only heard good things about these. Everyone is just waiting for a general release. Even the phone order shops sold out.
I like the design, another similar shoe I want to try is the KD VII, but I have enough air based shoes. Solid at the heel, but flexible at the forefoot. It's amazing how much my tastes have changed. I used to be all about Zoom, but now my favorite cushioning is Micro G. I barely give modern Nike BBall any thought these days, mainly because of the price points, even though I know they still put out great performers. UA and BrandBlack are doing great things, putting out nice designs and keeping prices reasonable.
I've totally switched gears brand-wise as well. For the longest time it was almost exclusively Nike or Jordan (maybe some Adidas) when I would buy a new pair to hoop in. I won't forget that some of my favorite on-court models have come from Nike, but I'm glad someone threw a brick at me sometime within the past 2-3 years
