Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

They're taking Walt by force, and after Jessie kills Todd, which he will do, they need Walt to cook permanantly.'

Leaving Hank and Gomez alive does nothing for them people.....

And Hank is not dying in the third to last episode, so unless you think the shootout continues for two more eps, he's going to live.

And I doubt, very highly, that we see Walt and Jesse cook ever again. Neither of them want to cook, neither of them need to cook.

His theory is fairly reasonable. Not likely in terms of real life or anything, yes, guys with machine guns tend not to let guys live, but these guys are obviously different in terms of how they do business, maybe Walt makes them let Hank and Gomie go.

Rest assured, Hank is in the final episode, and not in a flashback scene or something like that.

Hopefully he is in a coffin in the final episode; I'm good with an open casket.

The interaction between Jessie and Walt was very interesting. I think that in some weird way they both still care about each other. You can tell Walt was really hurt by Jessie playing him and I don't know if it was just me but I feel like in Jessie's eyes, as Walt was in custody, he struggled with joy of seeing him in custody and the regret of doing it. I would like to see the series with a dramatic conclusion focused on Jessie and Walt's relationship rather than some Scarface shootout with Aryans/Lydia.

Exactly. And it also saves the Neo-Nazis from being cop killers.

Another great episode.

:lol @ Landry acting he's never touched a female before. Lydia got this dude sprung.

It wouldn't surprise me at all if nobody dies in that shootout. I think if somebody was gonna die they woulda showed it instead of ending it like that. It just wouldn't feel right killing off a major character in the beginning of a episode. Could be wrong though.

Vince Gilligan has always said Walt is like Mr.Chips turning into Scarface....

Walt is Scarface...look at all of the connections...Breaking Bad is almost a copy of what happens in Scarface....

In Scarface, Tony starts out with nothing, starts working for a drug kingpin, eventually kills his boss and turns into the drug kingpin himself. Makes so much money he doesn't know what to do with it and also kills his partner Manny....then eventually goes out in a blaze of glory with his 'little friend'.

I see the same exact thing happening with Walt in BB...

I'm not sure if Jesse will die in this next episode, but im pretty sure Hank and Gomez do.

I think Walt eventually kills Jesse, like Tony did to Manny...

The Aryans or Lydias people come after Walt in the end and he goes out in a blaze of glory w/the M60 just like Tony Montana...

Only thing I'm not sure about is what happens to Walts money....does Skyler and the kids get it eventually?...or does he lose it all??...

Annnnnnnd you too, I see it. I like it.

Question is, if that is how it all goes down, and time passes, do we all get bent out of shape that Breaking Bad was really just a longer version of Scarface?

That would be interesting. We've all enjoyed the ride, the show is great, week in, week out, but in the end, if it's just a drawn out Scarface, don't we all feel a smidge robbed or something? I dunno, just doesn't sound "right" ya know?

agreed

I've assumed it would be.. or at least the penultimate episode. They had too much to cover to have it happen episode 4 or 5.

1000

the thing about this is they just went overboard. One slip up was more than enough. 2 max, after that it's just like he was having fun naming crimes and I doubt the impact of showing jesse he did it for him really took effect.

At first I felt the same way. But now I see Walt's actions were perfect, especially since the absolutely last thing he expected Jessie to do was to rat. Even down to ignoring Hank and calling Jesse a coward. Man those two scenes are taken directly from real life. It's like that girlfriend or family member that you've done everything for and I mean everything, and then they turn their back on you simply because they couldn't see/understand the bigger picture. They're too caught up in what you did, while not even taking a glance or thinking about why you did it? They're so caught up in the emotions of things, that you gotta go above and beyond logic.

Man I'm not even gonna speculate on the last three episodes because that ending was just perfect. :smokin

Was thinking the same thing. Maybe this is how Walt gets ahold of the coat that Todd is wearing.
I can see this happening but I don't see the angle other pp have brought up about Walt being forced to cook then. If anything Walt drags Jesse from his car and tells him straight up you either die or cook. Then Jesse is forced to cook for them. Of course at the very least Gomez has to die.
I'm starting to think that maybe Hank and Gomez won’t die and the Neo-Nazis simply keep shooting until Hank and Gomez are out of bullets, at which point the Nazis approach them and say "uncuff Walt, give him back to us or we'll kill you." After they go back to the car, they notice Jesse has escaped. Hank and Gomez are completely screwed as they have not only lost the perpetrator but they also lose their key witness.
There's no ******g way they're leaving witnesses, especially DEA witnesses.

Also Hank wouldn't be completely screwed. He knows where Walt keeps his money. If he acts fast he can just call ppl to start digging like he was going to. Only thing stopping that is if Walt somehow moves it without anybody else there knowing (I figure if the Aryans know they might take it and Walt wouldn't want that).
Unconscious, no? I see Walt as being in a state of shock/anger and not really knowing what to do. Like the phone situation.

I don't see him willingly wanting to explain the consequences of killing a couple of federal agents to the Aryans. This would lead to other questions and could endanger his wife and son
if they think that Walt set them up.

It could happen, maybe he "learned" from this and won't let emotion cloud his judgement...
Or the Aryans could just be like lets bury them right there.

Either the way the idea of leaving dead bodies out in the open in that location is too risky whether it's Walt ignoring it due to shock or Todd's uncle just not thinking.

It honestly doesn't even matter. Scarface was a reboot of the same exact story that came out in the 30's. Nobody felt robbed. It's all about taking inspiration from another property and adding twists to it.

I could see this happening. It'll explain all the missed shots, and shut people up about their aim.

I know I'm beating a dead horse but I bet when Walt actually uses the M60 he's going to be "accurate". :lol
Unlike that shootout..

Anyone else think the money will end up being buried forever? Like, he worked so hard to be able to provide for his family, but in the end they leave him. At that point, the money doesn't mean a thing to him.

Maybe he ends up giving that lotto ticket to a stranger and they find it/he tells them where it's at. Or maybe he gives it to Mikes grand daughter?

There's no reason for Walt to stop the Aryans from doing what they're doing. Jesse, Hank, Gomez, and Marie are the only things stopping Walt from peace. I just don't see why Walt would save any of them right now. If Hank's alive, not only does he have EVERYTHING he needs on Walt and MORE now that he sent goons to kill him, but he knows where the money is. The one thing he said they'd never give up if he got caught or died. Walt and his family are left with nothing if any of those 3 make it out alive.

Man you guys need to pay attention to the colours. Hank was wearing Orange. You already know he is NOT making it out alive. And the flash forward where we see Walt and the neighbor dropping Oranges. Walt isn't either.

Yeah I dont blame walt for any of that.

Maybe he should have been more careful, but like you said Jesse was the last one he thought would snitch.

something tells me that gun that he dropped after he came from hiding behind that rock will come in handy

My friend's prediction...Take it for what it's worth.

Hank is dead, gomie is dead.... jessie escapes. walt is forced to cook for them but plans some elaborate escape just before he reveals his methods. lydia and todd/uncle find walt's family before he does, and kills them. they find jessie and kidnap him, forcing him to cook for them to expose heisenberg's methods.... meanwhile, walt plots REVENGE, grabs some guns, and the finale will end with walt rescuing jessie, avenging his family's deaths, but end up putting his own life on the line to once in for all show jessie that he did care about him all this time. The ending shows Jessie with all of Heisenberg's money as he starts his new life in alaska...And of course, walt dies in the end by giving his life for jessie.

Your thoughts? Again, it's JUST a prediction.

I can see that happening, they show that father and son (lion king) scene as he is dying. Jesse crying telling him he is sorry.
