Breaking Bad Thread - "El Camino" - A Breaking Bad Movie on Netflix 10/11

Crazy to think that Todd THA Gawd is brekaing into houses, threatening middle aged white women and babies, killing single mothers in cold blood and rocking Brooks Brothers button down's JUST so that he can get a taste of dem Lydia yambs. That's da definition of putting in work. He could give some advice to the dudes in da Thread About Yambs

Will Mcavoy is that dude too tho.  Great acting, just an entirely different character.

Was the emmys' timeline based on the first half of season 5? or did they include up to last week's episode?

Only based on the 1st half of season 5. I'm assuming they'll win more awards next year. Aaron Paul has had some great scenes in the second half of season 5 as well as Bryan Cranston.

How does the public know who walt is?
Only marie knew? Right?
indifferent.gif
Skyler didn't know? Walt Jr didn't know? The police who were at the house when Walt called didn't know?  You think Marie gonna keep all this intel from the feds after her husband and DEA partner will never been seen again?

Some of us just need to take a step back and think before we speak.  You're smarter than this

ladies and gentleman give a round of applause to iyen!

and if you are gonna say well the breaking bad jesse is only spelled one way that is not what we are talking about. anybody can mistaken the name spelling of jesse because there are many ways to spell it...

the last was jessy dixon by the way
Dog, we ARE talking about the Jesse from Breaking Bad, though. I can find a million different spellings of names. That's not the point.:lol

Cranston isn't winning another Emmy IMO. There's a lot of politics involved in the voting...I think they "retired" him after he won his 3rd award in 2011 because that tied him with Bill Cosby for most all time and they don't want anyone being alone at the top with four. I'm disappointed that Jon Hamm didn't win :{

Frantz actually has 4 wins. I can see Cranston winning his last one at next years Emmy's. And Paul breaking the record for most Emmys for supporting actor with 3 next year.

Nice, I forgot about Dennis Franz. Yeah I hope they give Cranston a chance next year but I'm still skeptical since he didn't get it for Crawl Space in 2012 and that was his best performance out of any of the years he won.

I always thought there wouldn't be a point to Lydia meeting up with Walt, considering the heat, but then again, why do we know Lydia drinks chamomile tea, and how she loves her stevia? Even last night she said she'd need more stevia. Maybe the ricin is for Lydia after all. As for Gray Matter, maybe we'll find out why exactly Walt leaves. All we know is he left Gretchen's family's place in the middle of the night or whatever back in the day. There must be another way to expose the company.

Walt has no reason to kill Lydia tho. Like, none. Unless Todd follows through on her wishes and kills Skyler.

I think at this point Gilligan has almost all of us in the same mind frame.  A few episodes ago we werent sure how we wanted it to end...

but now I think most, if not all of us want 1) Walt to smoke the Aryans 2) Jesse to smoke Todd 3) Elliot and Gretchen to die

I think the last straw for me would be Walt making a video tape of some kind for his family explaining EVERYTHING...how he didnt kill Hank, how he went after the aryans for doing so...etc.  The icing on the cake so to speak.

that would be the perfect ending.  Walt dieing or being caught by the DEA at the end is not gonna hurt as much since the cancer will kill him anyways very soon.
This.

The only way I'll truly be satisfied is if everyone knew the truth....especially about Hank.

They probably wouldn't believe him, but if he laid out the entire story for them....beginning to when he first was diagnosed and ending with the shootout, there might still be some closure there. I just feel too bad for Walt at this point.....what a waste of lives he's caused.

Literally no one has come out with a happy story here. Todd is the closest to having a baller/kingpin lifestyle from start to finish and even we know he's gonna die.

That boy Jesse though.....

What an experience. I woulda tried to OD on my own product by now.....

This is how I think its going to end:

Walt takes out the Aryans w/the M60.

Jesse kills Todd.

Grey Matter is ruined by being connected with Heisenberg/Blue Meth (Gretchen & Elliot won't die, but they'll lose their business...).

Walt turns himself in to save Skyler from being prosecuted and her/the kids end up with the money (Heisenberg is getting his money back from the Aryans...).

Ricin is for Lydia.

Walt dies of cancer before he ever sees a jail cell and he dies in Skylers arms as the Police are on the way to come get him.

Only thing I'm not sure of is Jesse. Pretty sure he dies, just don't know how.

Felina.

I feel like Walt's character gives up the location of Hank and Gomez as an act of absolution. Really believe after that he goes out in a blaze of glory.

The two stand out scenes for me last night was Walt trying to intimidate Goodman but being so weak that Goodman actually felt pity for Walt. The other being Andrea's execution and the final act that completely destroyed Jesse. Neither have anything more to live for so vengeance is the only answer.

Oh, and what about all those millions he left back at the cabin?

In all honesty, he could merk everyone and still have time to come back to grab the money before the Vacuum guy's next visit....not likely though. What's money mean anymore?

its the only reason hes coming back ...to see if hes dead & take the rest of the money if he is...thats why he asked "if i said i would would you believe me?"

otherwise he wouldve dropped him off at the door & booked it back to the abq

It just hit me right now in my calc class.

Walt is gonna take down those Nazis. Like for sure. I know we all think that but I'm more convinced because Walt is exactly Gus Fring.

The way how they both calmly put a towel in front of the toilet, not fearing pain or death. How they both used children to manipulate people for their plan. The way how they both lost their partner in the same exact way (by a cartel/nazi group), crying on the ground and watching their partner dead.

I'm sure I'm missing more comparisons but Walt is gonna kill those people and will die as well. Of course, Walt is on a more grand scale with gray matter and other things to take care if as well. I guess this is how we can predict it though.

Walt is gone. Heisenberg wants vengeance.
From the Gustavo Fring - Breaking Bad Wiki
Gus eventually takes Jesse to Mexico, to the place where his former partner was killed. Jesse is his answer to the cartel's demand. He will offer Pinkman as his olive branch, to teach them how to cook blue meth themselves.

He watches proudly as Jesse cooks a 96% pure meth in the cartel lab, proving he is indeed the cook for the job. In celebration, the cartel bosses take Jesse, Gus and Mike to a familiar location: Don Eladio's estate. Gus stares at the pool and swallows a hidden gel capsule as Eladio emerges with his captains.

Gus offers Eladio his favorite brand of tequila as a peace offering, and the ever-cautious Don makes sure Gus takes a shot before drinking any himself, along with his captains. As the party begins to rage, Gus excuses himself to go to the bathroom. Once inside, he lays a towel down and discreetly vomits into the toilet.

As Gus emerges from the bathroom several cartel members have already begun to fall to the ground. The tequila had been poisoned with a fast acting, lethal toxin. The capsule consumed by Gus delays the effect of the poison allowing him time to purge, narrowly avoiding death. As a weakened Gus walks into his view, Eladio's face contorts with rage and he falls into the pool, dead. Gustavo Fring's twenty-year plan for revenge finally comes to fruition ("Salud").
I'm wondering if Walt, or possibly Jesse, will use the Gus technique of temporarily poisoning themselves (with a non-lethal dose or antidote) in order to fatally poison a larger group.. It'd have to be Todd and the Nazi's because they are the only ones left with any "respect" for Walt that would actually see him and be able to sit down and talk to him.

Gus used a fast acting toxin. Ricin is not the fastest-acting method of killing. Walt prefers it because it leaves behind little or no trace of its use on a victim. So who does Walt want to kill without having anyone know that he did it? I think this is important to consider.

Walt wants his empire to end when his own life ends. If the operation continues and blue meth is on the street after he dies then he's just as much of a pushover as he was when he left Gray Matter and they profited off his hard work that laid the foundation.

02-over.gif

IT'S NOT OVER UNTIL THE LEGACY OF THE HEISENBERG EMPIRE IS PRESERVED BY WALTER'S DEATH AND THE DEATH OF EVERYONE ASSOCIATED WITH BLUE METH!!!

Todd can't cook without Jesse. Unfortunately, I think that Todd is smart enough to completely dispose of Jesse once he's learned his techniques. He's not using Jesse to cook the product. He's using Jesse to LEARN how to cook the product. If Todd learns to make everything himself before Walt meets up with him, Jesse is already dead. Todd needs to die because he's stealing Walt's recipe for blue meth.

Todd said that he was sitting on 50 pounds of 92% blue meth. That's why he met with Lydia. He can't move it without her. Lydia needs to die because she's pushing blue meth.

Uncle Jack and the crew simply need to die because they are the muscle in the way of Walt of killing Lydia and Todd, who are the only real threats with the knowledge/connections to keep his product in the streets after his death.

Vacuum guy isnt going back to the cabin once he finds out Walt is back in town. Which he will since hes driving around with a machine gun in his trunk.

If that was Saul's final scene, I like how it came full circle with Walt threatening him and Saul about to wet his pants only until Walt starts coughing like crazy and then Saul sees how weak he is (go back to S2 when Jesse/Walt kidnapped Saul). Good stuff :Nthat

I'm guessing anyone and everyone died that's connected to the blue meth including Lydia. Maybe Jesse kills Walt but I don't believe grey matter gets M60d but he uses them to somehow get the money to his family (donation, threats, etc) and in the process hurts their brand.

Again seeing Gretchen dies does nothing for Walt IMO, it did enough seeing the interview on TV and hearing about the blue meth.

My body is ready.

Lydia is the distribution link though. To Europe, anyway. Kill Lydia, you kill off that channel. Maybe Todd kills Skyler, but at this point, months have passed and Skyler hasn't said anything. That shipped has sailed I think, them killing her. They would have done it already.
