You gotta be a big fan to catch all those lines "Daddy horny, Michael."

Damn, I totally misread the premiere date for BB Season 5 until I watched the promo #2.
All this time, I thought it said June 15 not July 15.

They didn't actually show Walt doing it but it was implied.

Walt got Jesse to side with him against Gus by making him think that Gus poisoned Brock with the cigarette laced with ricin Jesse intended to use to kill Gus.

So when Jesse found out that Brock was in the hospital because he was poisoned that's what he thought happened. Later in the episode Jesse found out that Brock was poisoned by the Lilly of the Valley plant and not ricin, and the last shot of the episode shows the Lilly of the Valley flower in Walt's backyard.

I finally finished the entire series yesterday...

Walt's evolution from sympathetic figure to what he's turned into (don't wanna spoil too much) is probably the most telling.. I like the contrast between him and Hank...Walt was a regular guy whose passion basically got taken from him, now he had to struggle then he becomes an illegal alpha male...Hank was an alpha male who basically isn't used to being in the position he's in and now he has to use his smarts to handle his business.

I think there'll definitely be repercussions for what they did to Gus' property...even in terms of money, that damage and not being able to produce on such a wide scale is too big for anyone to ignore, not to mention bringing attention to the lab. It sends a clear message that whoever was working there is branching out on their own now that Gus is gone.

Gus is one of the coldest SOBs in television history....dude was a master manipulator. Pragmatic and ruthless, one of the best characters ever. I think Mike returns in some capacity as well.

Nice touch insinuating that Gus is gay as well. It was insinuated in the flashback scene.

Jesse was easily manipulated as well.

i figured it was(i caught the last scene showing the plant in walts backyard) just implied i just wanted to make sure i didnt miss one of those very important but dead silent scenes

Damn, so Hank was chasing Walt from the first season and didnt know it. Its been way to many connections to Walt and Heisenberg eventually Hank has to figure it out.

I just started watching this a week ago and it's already closing in on Lost as my favorite show of all time. I've watched both on Netflix and going through the series twice as fast as I did with Lost. I'm thinking about watching The Wire to keep myself occupied until season 5. How does Breaking Bad stack up to that?

The Wire is widely considered to be one of the best shows of all-time, you should watch it.

The themes, the cinematography, the format, the size and focus of the cast, etc., are all pretty different on The Wire compared to Breaking Bad, so it's hard to make comparisons. Both are two of the best shows in the past decade.
