I don't even mess with buffets. I'm a fatty but I can't eat enough to justify the 20$ where I get full on the first plate. I'd rather pay $20 on a quality meal at a mom n pop restaurant.

I finally went down to mid Wilshire and tried some Ethiopian food, it is tasty, inexpensive and very healthy. I wish we had one closer to where I live, in my suburban town we have gained a lot of ethnic food places in the last few years but Ethiopian, along with Korean, Persian and Cantonese spots are yet to arrive.

Biff my guy what's good!
Floating boats go around with all kind of easy to make rolls that are freshly made. Not often that a roll will last a long time and remain untouched because everyone wants to eat and it's so good. Mixed in are other plates of sashimi, nigiri, or other appetizers like bbq skewers, seaweed salads or dessert.

You then can ask any of the sushi chefs in front of you for any of the really nice rolls that take skill and time to make. Oh and the fried bananas are $$%+@@*

Man that is hardly a buffet.  That is your average sushi restaurant that is easy to hit up on the go.  For a real Japanese buffet that has all types of sushi including sashimi check this place out.  www.todai.com

But that Fuji's place is bomb foreal! I might just have to go tomorrow.

Co-sign, that sushi looks good, it looks well prepared and you photographed it very well. Either that or the sushi was just naturally very photogenic

.

JD, so is this $8 lunch just those plates or is it full on AYCE? If it is even just decent sushi that is an epic steal even if they only have the deal for a few days per week.

How are the ribs?  I really want to try it, even though I probably wouldn't eat enough to justify the prices.
