If you wanna listen to some of her stuff, I'd suggest listening to Control & Rhythm Nation first. Then Janet.

I love this song too... Pleasure Principle from Control, written & produced by Monte Moir of The Time. I remember when this vid first dropped... Janet was looking right in them black jeans...






Also loved how she linked these vids together. The later also including an ode to the likes of Cab Calloway & old school Hollywood (When I Think Of You & Alright). The production from Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis was phenomenal too... It's like they had a symbiotic relationship with Janet. Those are some talented brothers...

Her new album is set to drop Aug 27. Damn that's a looong way from now. Random fact, Amel Larrieux went to the same highschool as Questlove & went to senior prom with him (see photo in spoiler mode).

It's crazy because their class at the Philly High School for the Creative and Performing Arts included Black Thought, Boys II Men, Christian McBride, Kurt Rosenwinkel, & Joey DeFrancesco. Damn. :x
