Im slowly finding this out now lol. I came in before the Carmines released looking to get pointers on how to cop, and ended up rekindling my love for AM90's and finding great music on this thread.

She is one of the most interesting/talented American singers/musicians to come out in a looong time. It's good to see the USA being able to produce an artist like her. This is a cool vid & looks like it was fun to shoot.

ima fan of janelle monae too but i was not feeling that video. 

and her albums have been dissapointing to me. maybe i expected too much of her. 

i think she needs better production and writing.

I wish his stuff was available on YT to post. This is a perfect song. It's a headphone master piece too. You can hear so many layers in this track. Love the guitar playing in this. 1999 & Purple Rain are in my list of all time great albums for me.

Ibeyi, French-Cuban twins raised in Paris. They are real genre blenders but their base seems to be Soul...even described themselves as doing Modern Negro Spirituals.
