Americans: you gotta love em and their stereotypes.

Anyhow, Ebayologist, the statistics don't lie. I'm not saying rely on these statistics, but it says a LOT.

What foreign postings are most coveted by expatriate executives? To find out, Mercer Human Resource Consulting, which provides advice to multinational companies on international assignments, has come up with a global ranking of the world's most livable cities based on 39 key quality-of-life issues. They include political stability, currency-exchange regulations, political and media censorship, school quality, housing, the environment and public safety. Mercer collected the data between September and November of 2006 and considered 215 cities around the globe. Switzerland's main commercial and cultural center, Zurich, topped the list this year, followed by Geneva, and Vancouver and Vienna, which tied for third. To see how other cities fared, check out this interactive table.

Your probably right, but coming out of a rough life and earning your fortunes> being spoon fed and having everything given to you.

Spoon fed? Naw, you just can't do things like buy a house worth $800,000 when you make $35K a year.

@ all this socialism is evil bullcrap that Americans are brainwashedinto believing. Higher taxes generally means a better quality of living. All the cons here listed about Canada can easily be refuted. Racial tensions inMontreal? What are racial tensions like in much of the Southern US like? Canadian education is a joke? McGill, Queens, U of T, UBC are among the topUniversities in the world. Unless you're talking about NYC, Chicago, cities in Florida, Cali, 95% of American cities do not compare to Canadian cities likeToronto, Montreal and Vancouver.

And Canadians do not hate Americans, in fact, most Canadians know more about the U.S. than vice versa. Canadians dislike American arrogance and Americanforeign policy.

We've been rebuilding under Martin and Harper and look forward to being a contender again in the near future.

I'm from Canada. I haven't been anywhere in the US other than North Dakota and Minnesota so I can't say much. I do have to say, due to themulticulturalism we have a whole lot of beautiful mixed chicks out here.

I'm mad I have a condo in Toronto but I don't have a fur coat and I don't ride in a murcielago

All of this is redundant, though. Comparing apples to oranges once again
