Cheap things you do vol. every dollar counts

My friend used to order a Double Cheeseburger from McDonald's but request a sesame seed bun and Big Mac sauce. This was back when Double Cheeseburgers were $1 so he'd essentially get a big mac for $1.

He did something similar with cheesy gordita crunch from Taco Bell.

Y'all are teaching me the ways.
Anybody the opposite and just buy a ton of crap? :lol

I used to go yolo on buying food.
I calmed down a ton. Went from Starbucks>>dunking donuts>> and now 711 and trying to transition to work coffee. Taste like crap though. I need to buy my own creamer.

Man. What y'all do for groceries. If you really go in and buy your veggies, fruit, deli, dairy all that can add up easily and spend 50-100 a week on groceries. Granted, still better then spending money a day on food from the road.

Also don't go out anymore to clubs and bars. I used to go out EVERY weekend fri and sat. Spending min 50 a night. Gas, parking, drinks, late food. Adds up :lol

I stopped and when I look at my account on Monday and still close to the same from Friday has me like :eek

AccoUNT looking good now.

I still occasionally buy food for lunch. I'd prefer to bring my own lunch, though.

Need to make a stronger effort in not buying food. That would save a lot of money.

I'm a retail manager and we had a customer ask if we offer military discount and we did. My coworker was working the register asked to see her ID and she whips it out..... she was in the DoD...... My guy was in the Navy, so he gets offended..... He says, mam, I can't give you a discount. She says, who not? I use this everywhere and they give it to me all the time. This offends him even more. I had to jump in and told him to just give it to her to get her outta here (it's only 10%). He wasn't happy and after she left he was ranting and raving bout what a scumbag she is going around telling people she was in the military and getting discounts that go towards actual veterans.

I still got my college ID from 06, i try to get everything at a student price if its available

Got that amazon prime student :pimp:

Me too, even though I graduated last fall:lol

I also stay with the "I work at Macy's" whenever I eat at the mall. That 10% isn't a big deal but it's always nice.

Is the student amazon prime the same exact thing as the regular prime? It's only $50 a year right?

Go to Auntie Anne's and order a large soda. Tell them you work at the mall. 9 times outta 10 they don't care but if they ask what store say any random store. You'll get it for 0.75.

right only difference is price.

might give this a go.

My bank account would look so much better if I didn't order food so much. Really need to stop being lazy and cook/meal prep.

I know some people who work at grocery stores that eat off the shelves including the deli department

reading thru some of these posts..I get the feeling ppl are bragging when it's actually embarrassing

Surprised they don't get in trouble.

My brother used to work at cvs and the loss prevention people went to his store looking for reasons to fire people. Kept interrogating my bro and asking if he ever ate some candy or drank from water bottles he didn't pay for. Threatened him saying they had footage and would call the cops if he didn't confess. My bro said he might've done it a few times and was fired.

Everytime we go to all you can eat Korean BBQ, the people working are never around. Next time we go I'm telling my wife to sneak a bunch of Ziploc bags in her purse.

Love Korean bbq. I'll see people on the west coast eat it and their Korean bbq spots have that cheese and corn sidedish. How come the places on the east coast don't have that?

Yeah, it seems that KBBQ spots on the West Coast have different side dishes than the spots out here in VA.

IMO, the meat quality is so much better here in VA and they actually serve and cook the food for you lol. Back in CA, the spot I went to do, dropped off the plate of meat and bounced

One thing I just remembered is all the cheap Korean BBQ spots in SoCal:pimp: Time to get fatter.

The spot we always go to in NY, there is a buffet section with cooked food and all the raw meat and vegetables. You fill up your plates and gotta grill the food yourself. The waitresses cut up the meat for you with scissors though.
