Quick Take: Bills (7-6) at Browns (8-5)

NFL.com

Last meeting
In Week 14 of 2004 Buffalo routed the Browns 37-7. Willis McGahee rushed for 105 yards and two TDs and the Bills defense caused four turnovers, registered seven sacks and limited Cleveland to 26 total net yards.

Streaks
The Browns hold a 7-5 overall advantage in the series but the Bills have won the last three games.

Last week
The Bills kept their playoff hopes alive by thumping winless Miami 38-17. The Bills exploded for 24 points in the first quarter, paced by rookie QB Trent Edwards and a solid running attack. Edwards threw a career-high four touchdown passes and running backs Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch combined for 222 yards on the ground. ... The Browns picked up another dramatic win, surviving a last-minute onslaught by the Jets for the 24-18 victory. The Jets closed to within two points with under two minutes remaining, but RB Jamal Lewis rumbled 31 yards for a touchdown and Joe Jurevicius recovered his second onside kick of the game to seal the win for Cleveland.

At stake
A meaningful game for both the Bills and Browns in December? You bet. The Browns are just a game out of first in the AFC North, and with a win and a little help (a Tennessee loss) they'll secure a spot in the postseason for the first time since 2002. ... After starting 0-3 and suffering numerous injuries, the Bills are just a game out of a wild-card spot and need a win to stay in the conversation.

Key matchup:
Browns rookie OT Joe Thomas vs. Bills DE Aaron Schobel. Thomas anchors a Browns line that last week kept Derek Anderson upright all day while the offense racked up 377 total yards. Buffalo's Pro Bowler Schobel has taken down opposing quarterbacks 4½ times this season, including once in each of the last two weeks.

Did you know?
Bills rookie QB Trent Edwards has a 5-1 record as a starter and has completed 103 of 160 passes for 1,115 yards with five TDs and four INTs. ... Browns TE Kellen Winslow needs 57 receiving yards to reach 1,000 for the first time in his career.

Biggest game since 2002. Period.

Browns got this. At least ONE Cleveland team will muster up a win this weekend. Good Lord.

C'MON BUFFALO!

CAN'T BELIEVE WE'RE 7-6, BUT WE SHOULD REALLY BE 9-4. VERY PROUD OF THE EFFORT.

PREDICTION: 19-16 BILLS
