. It's going to be interesting to see what Scotty Hopson is going to do. He's notgoing to sign with MSU this week, though he's commited to them. Maybe, hopefully, Gillispie can bring him to UK.

Louisville is going to have a great class... Samardo Samuels, Jared Swopshire, Melquan Bolding, and Terrence Jennings.

At least Kelvin Sampson is getting his money's worth with those extra calls/texts...He's got a top 20 class coming in with Devin Ebanks, Matt Roth,Terrell Holloway, Tom Pritchard.

Sene will be a 4 star by the end of the season.

Ohio States class is looking good. Buford is nice. He plays around here so I seen him play against my old high school. Kid looks sharp. If we keep Kosta aroundfor next year this could be a nice little squad we got.

dont yall have another 5 star 7 footer coming in as well? i havent seen yall play this year yet, but is kosta good? he seems like hed be very uncoordinated. ifhe could develop, then this other 7 footer develops as well, yall could be pretty dangerous down low.

Sunday at the National Prep Invitational

Jerry Meyer

Rivals.com Basketball Recruiting

Lowell, Mass.-As the crowd thinned out, the action heated up during the last game of the National Prep Invitational. New Hampton Prep hadFindlay College Prep on the ropes before DeAndre Liggins and company took over in the waning minutes.

DeAndre Liggins- 21 points on7-15 shooting, 2-7 from three, 5-7 from the line, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, 9 assists, 9 turnovers in 38 minutes of play

A three-pointer, some slick passes and a physical drive to the basket by Liggins sparked an impressive comeback by Findlay in the final minutes of a game thatthey had trailed from the beginning. As evident by his turnover numbers, Liggins was loose with the ball at times, but he was also the most prolific playmakeron the court.

Clarence Trent- 9 points on4-11 shooting, 1-2 from the line, 12 rebounds, 1 block, 1 steal, 2 assists, 2 turnovers in 34 minutes of play

The good news is that Trent is playing hard and being productive as an interior player for Findlay. However, he still has a lot of room for improvement in hisskill game in order to make a difference at the high major level.

Antiquawn Beckham- 18 pointson 7-13 shooting, 2-6 from three, 2-6 from the line, 2 rebounds, 2 steals, 4 turnovers in 34 minutes of play

A physical wing, Beckham controlled the game on the perimeter for New Hampton Prep. His slashing game would fit in well with a mid/high major team that likesto play three guards.

Assane Sene- 16 points on 7-11shooting, 2-4 from the line, 14 rebounds, 4 blocks, 2 assists, 1 turnover in 31 minutes of play

Sene certainly has a chance to make an impact at Virginia. He certainly has a ways to go as a skilled offensive player, but he competes and is quick to theball.

Jin Soo Kim 19 points on 7-15shooting, 2-5 from three, 3-5 from the line, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 steals, 1 assist, 2 turnovers in 33 minutes of play

If he develops some strength, this skilled forward will make some waves in the ACC. Skilled with the ball, Kim was active and engaged in the game. But at thispoint, he doesn't have the quickness to defend on the wing or the strength to defend inside.

Nigel Ajere- 23 points on 10-22 shooting, 1-4 from three, 2-2 from the line, 3 rebounds in 23 minutes of play

Ajere is presently committed to Cal-Fullerton, but he is not sure if he is going to sign early or open things up. He was impressive Sunday as a scorer inSummit Preps three point win over South Kent. A combo forward who is quick off the floor, Ajere is a match up problem with his midrange power game. Would haveliked to have seen him contribute more in other areas of the game, however.

Freddy Asprilla- 14 points on6-11 shooting, 2-4 from the line, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 turnovers in 29 minutes of play

Asprilla set the tempo early for the Patterson School forcing Negedu to pick up two early fouls. Patterson never looked back against Brewster Academy asAsprilla controlled the middle with his physical play.

Varez Ward- 8 points on 4-9shooting, 0-1 from three, 10 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 turnovers in 27 minutes of play

Ward had another solid outing as he toyed with a triple-double. He's not a point guard, but his decision making and passing were impressive. A strongslasher, Ward finished with authority.

Darius Johnson-Odom- 16 pointson 6-18 shooting, 1-8 from three, 3-4 from the line, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 5 assists in 33 minutes of play

The power point guard bullied his way through the Brewster defense. Besides taking too many threes, Johnson-Odom played an impressive game.

Givon Crump- 24 points on 9-13shooting, 6-8 from three, 8 rebounds, 1 turnover in 24 minutes of plays

A 2009 prospect, Crump got more run on Sunday and took advantage of it. The big bodied wing has a superb touch on his jumper and has the tools to put upnumbers in the midrange as well as behind the arc. A definite high major prospect, Crump's development on the defensive end will have a lot to do with thevalue of his stock.

Emmanuel Negedu- 11 points on5-11 shooting, 1-5 from three, 0-2 from the line, 4 rebounds, 3 blocks, 3 steals in 21 minutes of play

Negedu made some quality plays here and there, but he struggled to put together consistent production this weekend.

Anthony Crater- 2 points on1-4 shooting, 0-2 from three, 1 rebound, 2 steals, 11 assists in 29 minutes of play

Crater didn't assert himself offensively, but his 11 assists attest to his ability to recognize the open man early in the play.

Christopher Baskerville[/db]- 36 points on 16-25 shooting, 4-7 from the line, 12 rebounds, 4 turnovers in 45 minutes of play

An undersized interior warrior, Baskerville kept Lee Academy in the game while they shot a miserable 2-25 from the three-point line as a team. Lee Academyeventually shot themselves out of the game, losing to Worcester in double overtime. Baskerville, who is committed to Central Connecticut, used his athleticismto get buckets in transition, off the glass and off dump off passes on penetration.

Austin Carroll- 27 points on 8-13 shooting, 4-6 from three, 7-7 from the line, 8 rebounds, 1 block, 3 steals, 1 assist, 3 turnovers in 39 minutes of play

A 2009 prospect, Carroll led the Worcester attack from his shooting guard position. With good size for his position and a nice feel for the game, Carroll is anintriguing prospect. His athleticism isn't quite at high major standards, but he has the positive qualities to his game that put him on that mid-major/highmajor bubble.

Randy Dezouvre- 22 points on9-16 shooting, 4-6 from the line, 11 rebounds, 2 blocks, 3 steals, 7 assists, 4 turnovers in 38 minutes of play.

In a head to head match up with Connecticut commitment Jamal Coombs, Rhode Island bound Dezouvre did a good job at pretty much everything in leading Champlain St. Lambert to a fourpoint win over Tilton School.

Jamal Coombs- 23 points on9-21 shooting, 0-4 from three, 5-6 from the line, 8 rebounds, 1 steal, 4 assists, 7 turnovers in 40 minutes of play

Coombs had some nice buckets in the midrange and spent a majority of the game helping the guards with the ball handling duties. His seven turnovers werelargely a product of forcing the action in traffic.

Alex Oriakhi- 19 points on7-13 shooting, 5-7 from the line, 8 rebounds, 4 blocks, 1 assist, 3 turnovers in 38 minutes of play

Four-star 2009 prospect Oriakhi is steadily improving his offensive game. He knocked down a couple midrange jumpers off strong pivots and showed better poiseagainst the double team. There is still the tendency to drop the shoulder and bully through defenders, but progress is being made.

Jeremiah Kelly- 22 points on8-16 shooting, 6-9 from three, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 turnovers in 27 minutes of play

Kelly had the ball in his hands a lot more with Tyreke Evans out with a knee injury and took advantage of the compact Northfield Mount Hermon defense by draining deep threes. With shooting being the best thing Kelly does on the court, he must build his body up to have the strength to handle the ball as a point guard in the Big East.

Lamont Jones- 21 points on10-18 shooting, 1-4 from three, 0-1 from the line, 3 rebounds, 6 steals, 6 assists, 3 turnovers in 26 minutes of play

Jones also took advantage of Evans absence, getting off 18 shots and making more than half of them. His six steals represent his active and physical defensiveplay against Mount Hermon.

Mike Marra- 11 points on 4-9shooting, 3-6 from three, 0-2 from the line, 4 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 steals, 1 assist, 1 turnover in 22 minutes of play

Marra showed some high major athleticism early in the game with some impressive blocks and rebounds. His lateral quickness is not at the same level as hisrunning and jumping ability, however. Even though he might have some deficiencies defensively and in his ball handling, Marra's athletic scoring abilitytranslates to the high major level. Louisville is one high major presently showing strong interest.
