Congressman Keepin It 100 : Drug laws were originally just for Blacks & Mexicans (Video)

Check out this video of a congressman telling us what we already knew. Drug laws were originally just for Blacks & Mexicans (3:07 mark).

With all this info coming out is really a reach to call all these thing conspiracies? From the UNIA being sabotaged by Hoover to Lamumba's execution being claimed by European agents it's been a well thought plan.

Please stop calling me angry and stop calling me paranoid. They are in fact out to kill us and keep us down and when I say us I mean humanity. Think of all the great minds that have been snuffed out too early to bloom. How many cures or creature comforts could have been created? How far back have they knocked humanity by their bigotry?

Respect to Mr. Cohen for dropping science in this vid. He knows the drill.

Too bad his speech won't change anything. DEA makes way too much money off of marijuana arrests.

All the government has to do is point their finger and denounce the naysayers and denounce them and the entire populace is behind them.

Repeat anything over and over and the people eventually believe it. Society of sheeps, we've always known the government is hella crooked.

“No matter how big the lie; repeat it often enough and the masses will regard it as the truth.” ― John F. Kennedy

Watch this post fade into obscurity though and dumb ish reach 10+ pages.

I'm pretty sure most who are involved in the war on drugs are aware of this too, that's the sad fact.

Man! He went IN on that official at the end of the video. If you can watch the way that fool was fumbling around and still be in favor of criminalizing marijuana, I feel bad for you and your underdeveloped brain.

nah b im a quote it

I hope in by admitting this that no one takes it as he's talking about the late 1800's early 1900's and that's where it ended because It's 2014 and there are laws that are still geared towards the mass incarceration of black and brown people.

Some will say that other's go to prison for drugs in 2014 also and your right but would you believe me If I told you that some white's where sentence to pick cotton during slavery and we apart of a chain gang after said slavery had ended for their criminal ways?there were and will always be some that even the rule makers will deem unacceptable in their society.

How do the drugs get into the united states?we have satellites and a whole bunch of other stuff to keep track of Americans on American soul but we can't stop drug from coming into this country.Ha what a joke.

yup just look at the ridiculous sentencing for a crumb of crack compared to having an 8 ball of powder.

these laws just hurt the poor, the uneducated and low level users, who are more often than not just addicts.

thank god i never got caught with anything, i still  have no record.

i wouldn't of gotten hired at my new job at a casino, the background check was RIDICULOUS.

This is why I get mad when *** clowns call Clinton "The First Black President."

He privatized prisons which intensified the mass incarceration rates in the US  but only after he was Governor of Arkansas. He along with Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush allowed tons of drugs to come into the US through Mena, AK under their watch.

When certain people got accustomed to slanging drugs at a high rate due to a lack of other opportunities the system started throwing them in prison by the busload.

Finally when they "closed" the border they ultimately shut off the drug supply creating an artificial drought which leads to gun crime and that's right more mass incarceration.

There is a movie in the works about the Mena, AK drug ring.

"PLEASE STOP CALLING IT A CONSPIRACY THEORY!"

In the 90's my old heads around the way told us youngins it was a setup. We listened and knew the traps. 20 years later their words are being validated everyday. "We don't own boats so tell me how the **** we getting all this coke. Name me one gun maker in Africa or Black America...Exactly." I appreciate everything they told us cause it was true. Know the ledge.

Didn't Ron Paul preach this during his run? He stated that he was against the current drug laws and prison privatizations because it impacts minorities the most. This was when he was accused of being a racist because of a newsletter he signed off in the mid 90s

Yup and then they tried to derail his stance on marijuana and bring up heroine and crack

so when he said "i don't need the government to tell me not to do crack," they crucified him.

I reeeally wish he would have made it to the general election debates.

Just genocide from a passive aggressive standpoint. Gotta make sure that melanin doesn't intertwine with their genetics and get rid of them.

I was with Ron Paul until those letters. I still never got all the info about the situation but something wasn't right in the water. I loved all of his policy but an old white man from Texas that is telling white folks to clip up bothers me to the core. Maybe someone will adopt his platform and take to the masses.

People have known this. The only difference is now people are doing something to address it. It's always been an obvious money grab. The DEA n privatized prisons have made a fortune enforcing these unjust n outdated laws. Times have changed n people will eventually get it legalized. However, it may be another 5-10 years before this actually occurs. Colorado n Washington will set the bar. If it works out, I can see other states following suit. The amount of tax monies raised n monies saved by law enforcement agencies will show the true benefits towards government officials. With that said, I think we see certain crime rates fall n with increased revenue hopefully we can see some increase in education spending n spending towards programs that actually help children stay away from drugs n addicts truly become rehabilitated. It will take time, but I think we are on the right track, especially with elected officials like the one in the video actually questioning these archaic laws.

this is good but let's be honest...

This ain't gonna happen...

To control a people is to 1. Control religion and 2. Control the educational system.

You think they want a smarter society?

Hell no.

Hell no.
But all these Baby Boomers are dying off (sorry for the curtness) so that can give the younger generations a chance to get things done. We just elected a black President two terms ago. Remember when that was impossible? 10 years from now you don't think things will be different? I know it's a pipe dream (no pun intended) but everything is impossible until someone does it first. This was just a step in the right direction, lawmakers realizing the error in their ways, but at least it's a step. I just think we should give more credit to America's changing values n demographics.

You just get to see how pointless our system is. You see corruption in plain site, and its a movie. Nothing we can do about it.
