Mega is my favorite artist of the 2000+ era of Hip Hop let me know what you think.

In NYC? Probably.

Oh you mean literally.

Nah though I +%!% with True Meaning and The Realness pretty seriously to this day.

he is quite dope, definitely one of my favorites, but top 5? naw

Why is it that I think of Mega as a 90's artist?

nnnnnnNOPE (and i'm a fan).

@ Rakim being in the notables category.

I don't see how I'm being hated for that.
I understand the big 3 is usually KRS, KGR & Rakim.

last time i check, nas, prodigy, kool g rap, LL cool j, q-tip, 50 cent. were all from queens.

my prob wit OP is his whole premise is off...cormega isnt from da 2000's era...he's from da 90's.... da testament was supposed to be his Debut on Def jam

after Nas dropped it was written and da firm album. beef wit steve stoute made da label shelf his joint till he gots da rights for it back.

the realness and the true meaning. 2 classics, obviously u never heard them.

Cory is definitely in my Top 10 favorite MCs of all time, and The Realness and The True Meaning are absolute classics in my opinion and two of my 15-20 favorite albums ever... but I definitely wouldn't consider him anywhere near the Top 10 greatest MCs of all time.

That being said, two things he blazed the trail for but rarely if ever gets any credit for:

1.  Releasing a mixtape prior to releasing an album to build momentum for a release

2.  Going from a major record label to going independent
