CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A man said someone stole $10,000 worth of Air Jordans from his southwest Charlotte home. A police report says someone broke into the house on Mapleridge Drive on Monday and took 40 pairs of the tennis shoes. A collection of baseball hats was also taken, along with other items, the victim reported. No one has been arrested. Earlier this month, one Charlotte student was robbed and another was threatened with a weapon over pairs of the latest edition of the shoes. The shoes were released just before Christmas. Unruly crowds caused disturbances at Charlotte-area malls as they vied for a pair.
