DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - The Penguin out 9/19 then every Sunday on MAX

My favorite comic book show might be iZombie. It's consistently good. Some weeks I like flash or aos more.
i might check this out, even though I dont care at all about zombies

saw the lead girl again the other day

First time was on Conan

Last week they were shooting at a school I consult with.

It's pretty common to see tv show celebs in Vancouver, they have shot a few flash scenes at my university

I literally don't ever have time to watch iZombie. Saw like first 2 or 3 eps

Based off a Vertigo book so I assume it's good. Seems more like Supernatural mixed with a cop show with the whole zombie eating brains getting the dead person's memories and solving crimes.

It's really more like Veronica Mars than Supernatural. Not surprising cuz it's made by the same people who made Veronica Mars.

I do a podcast and my cohost hate watches iZombie. His rants are so funny. I really need to record his next and let ya'll hear.

He wants to like the show. He keeps watching hoping it gets better. In his mind it doesn't but he doesn't give up hope.

It's almost like an abusive relationship...

Kinda like how I feel about a lot of DC properties ej. The Superman movies, etc.

I understand now.

I actually like izombie. But sometimes I feel they could've done without the quirks chick picks up after she eats brains.

Any word on who's playing GL?

And I'm assuming Pine held out as long as possible for the GL role and took WW instead.

They got Rock as Black Adam, so that's a positive.

We were going back and forth a while ago in here on who would be a good Shazam. I think they'll look for an A-list dude, but I can see Joe Manganiello.

Didint even know The Rock was Black Adam. perfect casting :hat. I agree with Joe Mangeniollo

Oh from the looks of that pic, WW is definitely gonna be a period piece like rumored. I never did see if it was official.

Hope they cast GL right. It just now hit me they have the rest of the JL members cast but him. I figure they're banking on that to be the 3rd star name next to Batffleck and Cavil (yeah he really isn't a big star but the movie has got his name out there given where he use to be).

Billy will be like 12.
The actor better be 8.

Given how far in between they're doing sequels Billy will be looking 16 by the time the next movie is out.

Folks are hoping for Idris Elba as John Stewart, but I agree with @Master Zik that it'll be an A-list dude.

Didn't Jake Gyllenhaal turn down a role?

I don't think Idris will even be eligible or available but I think depending on how the next Star Trek movie goes and a few other of his movies Idris could get his profile raised a bit.

If Beasts of No Nation were realized nationwide in theaters I feel like the Oscar buzz for his performance would be crazy and he'd get his nomination. Nominations are enough to raise a profile at the least (see Eijiofor and Oyelowo).

Ever since Jack Ryan Shadow Recruit did not go well Pine's stock has been going down.

The past 5-7 to 10 years haven't good for new white boys as leads in these movies. Hollywood keeps trying but the audience aint responding to a lot of these actors as movie stars and continue to embrace what is becoming the old guard of white guys.
