DC Studios THREAD - GunnVerse Begins - The Penguin out 9/19 then every Sunday on MAX

I don't know where Batman was for huge parts of this fight and why he didn't find it

Bugged me how Bats just threw it when he was done in the first place. :rolleyes
:lol He was angry he got tricked by Lex in to almost killing Supes is the writer's excuse. Felt like hitting something but just flung the spear.

Why Lois even picks it up is stupid.

bare in mine, Batman murdered untold numbers of lox corp goons to retrieve this apparently valuable, illegal, and dangerous mineral but he just drops it on the floor like a used q-tip. :lol

So his name was officially lex junior in the movie? I must've missed when it was mentioned.

Kevin Smith broght up a point I never mentioned becuase I was trying to aovid spoilers...

If Lex Luthor knows who batman and superman is, why doesn't he just reveal their identity's, have their families killed?

Did he, or did he not try to kill Supes mom?

And there is no one left in the Wayne family to kill so...........?
No. He kidnapped Martha to leverage Supes in to fighting Batman.

A real Lex move would've been to show Supes the photos, tell him he only saves her if he kills Batman but the truth is he already killed her and whoever goes to save her just finds a dead body.

As for Bruce, no not kill his family but ruin his life by revealing billionaire Bruce Wayne is the Bat vigilante that has killed, beaten, crippled, and maimed criminals for 20 years is this rich prick. Bruce's life would be in turmoil. Assets frozen with the quickness. He'd be on the run. As far as a story where the villain wins I'm sure Snyder probably couldn't craft something that good either.

Bruce wayne is alive, right now, so why doesn't he just reveal his identity?

in the future films when they bring superman back to life, why doesn't lex just kill lois, ma ken, perry, all of them?
Word.

If Lex wants to blow something up, it should be the Daily Planet.

I don't even think his full name was ever said. It's more likely Lex Luthor the 2nd for prestigious sounding purposes.

He was confirmed to be Lex Luthor Jr. weeks ago (maybe a month) before the movie came out by Snyder or somebody from the studio. I feel like it was specifically officially said to calm Lex fans. Lex Jr. is a character in the comics from a different Earth and he's a good guy. This was SC/WB having their cake and eating it too.

If reviews had more hate towards Eisenberg, I have no doubt they'd kill him off and introduce Lex Sr.

I don't even care they say or hint his dad is dead. Could simply revealed he faked his death cuz his crazy son was trying to kill him. Then he came back when he was imprisoned and put a hit out on him so he could get shanked in a cell.

Yeah it was just dumb. I mean at least put it back in your car or the Batwing or w/e he was flying.

I don't have a problem with Lex Luthor being updated into tech billionare Zuckerburg.

It makes total sense and is totally in keeping with the comics, Lets was a mad scientist in the 50's 60s, and became a wealthy industrialist in the 70's, and then CEO of a multinational corperation in the 80's.

Lex Luthor should get up dated.

I was totally willing to go with Eisenburg, but the dumb writing and insane performance ruined what would have been a good idea.

I can't get over how Lex was crying for no reason when he was doing something to Zod's body

Surprised NO ONE has brought that up through 4 nonstop days of slander

:lol

That's the thing, updating and modernizing Lex is fine but that doesn't call for warping his character in to watered down Joker meets watered down Mad Hatter.

The character in that movie did not embody who Lex Luthor is.

There's Mark Zuckerberg and there's Martin Shkreli.

The jolly rancher scene kind of made it seem like they wanted to go for a Brainiac mind control thing but just cut it out completely. Was Lex just offering a bunch of money for the access? Or was it the deterrent argument that won him over?

Nah. I still believe Snyder can flourish with the support of a tempered storyteller and an airtight script

The script is the skeleton of a movie and Snyder needs some calcium in his life

Braniac mind control would make so much sense, even his acting nutty bit.
Don't know if yall missed it but Brainiac was in Goyer's script before Terrio took it out. He was gonna be the main villain for JL pt. 1.

Brainiac makes even more sense for having files on other metahumans. He'd defintiely be researching any threats to him on the planet before he destroyed it and salvaged it's knowledge.

There are glaring flaws in this movie for sure. Especially if you go into the movie with the "lenses" of expecting Nolan type plot structure due to it being DC. Adjust your "lenses" a bit; there's greatness.
