Same sort of profiling has happened to me plenty of times...which is why I will always have the mentality of %+!@ cops...

OP's story sounds like nothing.
I'm about as anti-cop/NYPD as you can get and been through/seen worse but there are still the 15-20% "good" cops out there, and looking at howthe system is set up, that's not gonna change. Dudes switch on this in an instant. One day they are rejoicing over hearing a cop got killed and talking"pig" this and that, and you already know they would be crying calling 911 in a heartbeat begging for cops to come help them the second anythinghappens. Just learn to handle your own business and don't be a ****** when the cops pull the BS on you. Read up on law, and if you gonna be doing work makesure you built for it.
