I agree with you.

Back to the subject,

Denzel in Malcolm X was on the best for sure IMO

Will Smith in Seven Pounds was very good too.

Richard Dreyfuss in Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Bill Murray in Lost in Translation

recently: Christopher Waltz in Inglorious Basterds

Some of my favorites (that many have mentioned):

Will Smith - Pursuit of Happyness
Denzel - John Q
Russell Crowe - Gladiator
Jamie Foxx - Ray
Heath Ledger - The Dark Knight
Christopher Waltz - Inglorious Bastards
Bill Murray - Stripes (just so damn funny

)
James Earl Jones - Star Wars. No jokes

Those that I wont dub one of the greatest performances, but some of my personal favorites:
Hugh Jackman - The Prestige
Christian Bale - The Fighter, The Prestige
Johnny Depp - All Pirates movies

Outside of the obvious ones like Heath Ledger as the Joker these are a just a few of my personal favorites for now.

Gerard Butler - Law Abiding Citizen
Andy Whitfield - Spartacus
David Spade - Joe Dirt
Mike Meyers - All the Austin Powers
Havent seen em all but Johnny Depp really does kill the Pirates of the Caribbean roleChristian Bale - The Fighter

I don't know, pretty sure it was a random One Tree Hill Scene with Sophia Bush. She can really act.

Tom hanks in cast away and forest gump.
Jack in one flew over the cookoos nest.
Anthony hop in Hannibal
Pachino in serpico
Deniro in taxi..
Rock in new jack!
And spike in Do the right thing.

Daniel Day-Lewis gets alot of love

nominated for 4 oscars, winning 2.

his next film comes out late this year where he plays Abraham Lincoln.

i think he has another oscar in his sights.

oh, and the film after that will be directed by the god scorcese called silence based on the book of the same name.

Javier Barden - No Country for Old Men (dude was scary)
Ledger - Dark Knight
Christopher Waltz - Inglorious Basterds
DDL - There Will Be Blood
Marlon Brando - he completely changed the acting game. If I had to pick one: On the Waterfront
Pacino - Godfather II
Christian Bale - The Fighter
Omar

Villains and anti-heros seem to make the most intesting characters.

Just watched Shame and Hunger the past two days, and Fassbender killed both performances (and Steve mcQueen is a great upcoming director)

....I thought denzel in Hurricane is kinda underrated too
