only saw the 4th quarter. they finally got a win but was not impressed. they gave up 96 to the wizards. the defense is going to kill this season if they dont get it together.

The defense was actually pretty good... Wizards shot 43.8% and had 19 TOs.. 43.8% every night would qualify us top 10.
But it's not the defense that causes the defense to seem bad.. It's the offense... The game is so fast paced because of how we play offense. It creates 7 or 8 extra possessions a game for the opponents.. And if we turn it over more than 10 times you add a handful more extra possessions. Games will rarely be sub 90 for the Lakers, because D'Antoni's offense doesn't allow it, unless everyone shoots awful.
That's the biggest problem about D'Antoni's system.. It's not that defenses are awful (yes, ours has been more often than not)... But even if you play solid defense, you will still give up 95+

didnt see the box score for TOs. 19 TOs is ridiculous. i think that number will be cut by half when nash gets back so it would also limit the possessions of the opponent. i feel better now. thanks for pulling me back from the edge

The Wizards had 19. We had 13.
But we should all be near that edge.. Because D'Antoni has a flawed system... But so long as we play good defense, and solid offense... We should win, which is true of any system.. This just puts more pressure because you need a high volume of points.

Nope he had a really good game..
Just needs to learn how to control his body when driving to the hoop...
I think we'll see a lot of Kobe at the 3 from now on.
