And he would have given up $60 million.. And then came back for peanuts for what?

I don't think money matter at this point of his career. He have plenty of it. I can't speak for Kobe but that is what i assuming. Unless Kobe care about money. Who know. I'm just speaking hypothetically.

But had retired in 2010, he would have more time to heal up and rejuvenate for 2013 season. In 2011, after 3 consecutive Finals, he was going on reserve gas and his knee was shot. He went on to get that German procedure in 2012 but then we get stuck with Mike Brown and no bench. Who know. If that 60 mills came off the payroll in 2010. Lakers could have a younger or better line up by now and still have 10-15 millions to offer Kobe.

No way! That's not a Mitch trade. This is my ideal trade:

211288

Plus whatever draft picks they want.

:rollin

Sac should give us Garcia too. Good spot up shooter who can play some defense.

My god, you guys are greedy.

Took the day off from thread and Kobe should've retired, Tyreke is gonna be in a Laker uni before the the All Star game, and the front office is cool with the way the season is panning out :lol

Earl Clark tho :hat

Got Laker fans in the NBA thread laughing at teams for losing.

How Ironic.

And we wonder why people troll us so much.

Anywhoo, apparently I'm in the wrong for thinking it looks stupid. So be it.

Hopefully we pull out a couple W's soon man, we need some damn momentum.

It still baffles me how this team is so bad...I mean I no why but hen again I really don't

Like the reasons are just so...ugh...

It just sucks cuz we still havent seen the whole team actually play together all healthy....at this point I dont no if all of them
will ever be healthy at the same time...and if it does happen it will be to late for this season :{

Im just hoping any game now it will just click for all of them...I still have faith

There's no way y'all are going to let the clippers play in your building in April while y'all going fishing right?

Don't take that Mitch idea seriously, he was joking.

But Greedy partially. But the idea of those players is because we're assuming if we're going after Tyreke it is with Pau Gasol. No one else would make sense, unless they are seriously considering just unloading Reke and taking back bench players, but we all know that's not the case. Pau makes $19 mil, Tyreke makes $5.2 which means that about $12-14 mil needs to be added.

If you go down the list of players: Isiah Thomas, James Johnson , Jimmer, Aaron Brooks , Cousins , Thomas Robinson

That's 6 guys that are out of the question..

That leaves Honeycutt, Outlaw, Thompson, Hayes, Garcia, Thornton and Salmons

Honeycutt's salary is so low, and with the CBA if they take on Pau, they would want to keep him, so X his name out.
Travis Outlaw could be possible, but he's only $3mil, and same premise as Honeycutt. Also they'd still need to add 2 more players with that
Jason Thompson could be one guy, but he's still young, and could learn a lot from a Pau. Also 11 & 7, shows he has tremendous upside, X him out.
Hayes is a work horse, I'd love to have him... But I can totally understand Kings holding on to him.
Garcia is a NO because he has a team option next year. That will definitely help the Kings $$$ wise.

That leaves
Thornton and Salmons

Both 3 years at between $7 - $8.5 mil each year. Salmons is definitely not worth it. Thornton is the right guy to a team with playoff aspiration, but if you are not then you can't afford to pay a guy like Thornton, who is extremely good $8-$8.5mil next year and the year after. Especially a team with financial concerns like the Kings.

They get Pau, which is a huge cap hit, but they get rid of a year of $15.5 mil in those guys a year early.

So that's why people are saying Evans, Thornton & Salmons for Pau Gasol and cheap filler (has to be cheap because if you add another more expensive guy, then the Kings have to give up another player to makes sure the money lines up.

because lebron james surpassed kobe a few years back as the best in the game. bunch of jealous dudes

its pretty ridiculous. they actually are happy the heat lost like the heat are in the western conference...

a blazer loss helps the lakers as far as playoff hopes. but some fools dont see laker on that jersey they see "kobe" smh

Season is a wash.
Point blank.
Its not that big of a hole but the WC is too strong. Too deep.

Make necessary changes and bring it better 10 months from now, this Halloween.
