Really, really hate how slim thighs/upper blocks are on some brands. Incredible how I’m a 38 in pbj and a 34 in brands like RGT.

yeah in trying to purchase heavyweight flannels brand new I found that what was available right now color wise isn’t really for me so I took to the secondary market in hopes of finding **** I like and as you can See I been going ham

tryna find something along these lines from a Japanese denim company and I just came across a sugar cane joint that is very similar

I'm kinda new to the denim game but I've been wearing Gap skinny selvedge for about 7 months now. I love how they fit but after doing a lot of lurking on here and on r/rawdenim I wanted to invest into another pair.

Eventually I copped the Unbranded tight fit UB421 (21oz) and wow it feels like a chore with the weight after a week of wearing them. Wish it fit as nice as my GAP skinnies but hopefully I'll get used to it eventually.

Take the UB’s to a reputable tailor, take the GAP skinnies to compare. Ask the tailor if they could taper the UB’s the same and stress, from the inside seams only (without leg torque). If it’s a go, the final product should fit exactly like the GAP skinnies.

21oz in GAP skinny silhouette may really be a chore tho. have fun.

or you could pay $60-$80 and have selvedge denim specialists like Railcar Fine Goods alter them.

Yeah, I would just recommend measuring your gap jeans and finding something with similar measurements.

anyone own a pair of iron hearts or samurais in here? i normally wear apc petit standards, but effed up this time around and got indigo stretch instead of selvedge (which i hear takes forever to fade). soooo I'm in the market for a pair of selvedge jeans and looking to branch out from APC possibly. lemme know your thoughts!

basically if I wanted something that fit like a petit standard, what should I go with? and how's the quality? and how likely is the crotch to blow out with regular use?

best advice I can give you is measure those jeans you like laid flat and search for something in / around that size or larger and get it tailored
All denim is prone to crotch blow outs some people say you should soak once before wear and wash semi regularly to avoid blow outs but I think with regular wear it’s inevitable

as far as brands go tho I feel like everyone more or less has the same offerings you just gotta navigate what weights/ selvedge ID color / Back pocket arcs no arcs etc and whatever brand “story” resonates with you

iron heart gonna have your heavier weight stiffer straight leg type jeans and samurais gonna be more lil bells and whistles like cool buttons and leather patch art / colored wefts and **** with more tapered modern cuts
