Is it pretty common for a tailor to be able to something like this? I think I would show them a picture like that before I left my jeans with them. Nudie is supposed to offer free repairs but when I contacted the US shops they said they weren’t doing repairs by mail.

I live in a pretty small town, and I tore one of my pairs years ago. Small tailor fixed it pretty well, and it lasted for quite a while. I’d say that’s a pretty common repair for tailors, you should be fine at your local spot. Just ask them if they’d try to color match the area. If you’re not sure if your shop can do it, there’s spots like railcar, and self edge, as well as others that offer mail In services.

Would definitely go to a denim specialist repair place as opposed to any regular tailor.

Does Nudies really offer free repairs? Wasn't aware of that although the last time i really looked at nudies was like a decade+ ago. Denim repair aren't cheap so I'm just surprised they would offer it.

My struggle, feeling like a plumber.

What's a recommendation for selvedge with a regular rise?...like this style

You def gotta look at measurements from the maker and the retailer. They are hardly 100% accurate but it gives you a baseline, I would then measure some of my favorite fitting jeans and see how they stack up to potential purchases. Rinse, repeat and hope the measurements are accurate. My problem is perpetually buying off Grailed and the seller provided measurements are wrong. But still, low rise is just stupid, no one is walking around showing two inches of pubes like they’re Brad Pitt on Venice Beach. Not workwear dudes at least. Leave that shh to Abercrombie

I have the same issue. I literally measured my current jeans and compared them to a sites measurements and when I got my package, they they weren’t even remotely the same and the ball crushing commenced. I’m still trying to find that right brand
