Denver Nuggets (10-4) 2023-24 Season Thread: 11/22 @ Magic

- C.J. Harris out of Wake Forest has signed with the Nuggets. Harris is a sharpshooter on the wing, which is an area Denver is looking to improve.

Richard Howell of North Carolina State has signed with the Nuggets. At 6'7, he has the skill set of an energetic power forward but lacks the size to complement it. Still, he averaged 10.9 rebounds per game and was fifth overall nationally in that category. He was listed in Schroeder's top 15 undrafted free agents list.

Good luck with DA guys. He was one of my favorite Grizzlies when healthy, but I just don't see him fully returning to his old self after that achilles injury.

I'm expecting him to play small ball 5 for Denver and/or the backup 4. He's not really a SF at all. The only reason he played a few minutes there last season was due to a bunch of injuries Memphis had at SF.

Don't know what to think about bringin Harris in other than to compete with Green..

Good to see another Winston product doin their thing

Howell is just like Faried.. an undersized 4 with a lot of energy and can rebound

Not that we didn't already assume this, but Andre Miller is on the block. Offered up in the talks with Memphis, but they didn't want his contract.

I hope the Nuggets can find someone to take him before training camp starts.

With a short leash I don't mind Basic Game on the team. But I'm sure is attitude would be worse next season.

I read they were looking at Jarret Jack. Tony Allen, Monta Ellis and Copeland

I wouldn't mind Reddick, Belinelli,Delfino,Barnes or JR 8o

IMO Iggy will resign with the Nuggets

Well his options are kinda limited Nuggets seem to be the only playoff team interested.

New Orleans and Atlanta and Houston are looking at Brewer. I'm guessing he goes to the Pelicans considering how much they paid Evans

Barnes would be a nice upgrade imo

Can NO get Evans and Iggy cause looks like Evans is going there. If Detroit gives Iggy 15Ms then oh well if not come back and let's make a run

Stone signed with Toronto |I

Toronto already had a fondness for Nugget players now with Uriji ::{

Team desperately needs shooting. Management needs to do something

Not looking good. They seem to be waiting to see what Iggy does and by then FA pool will be virtually dried up. Aside from RFA.

I read Iggy is Golden State's plan B so if they offer around the same amount money as the Kings he's gone. And it won't take 3 hours for him to decide.

Andre Igoudala has reached agreement with Golden State on a four year, $48 million deal with the Warriors, league source tells Y! Sports.

Oh well. Now the FO can actually start doing work now.

This increases the chances of Brewer coming back now. I'd prefer they package him with Basic game

Nuggets Focus on Signing Monta Ellis?

The Denver Nuggets have emerged as a serious suitor in pursuit of free agent shooting guard Monta Ellis, a league source told RealGM.

Ellis has been in several substantial discussions with teams, and some sign-and-trade situations have arose, a source said. Nevertheless, the Nuggets have the capacity to sign Ellis outright, after losing Andre Iguodala to an agreement with the Golden State Warriors on Friday.

Jordan Hamilton can do the same thing and can rebound.

Lawson/Ellis backcourt = FOOD

Not the least bit sad to see Iguodala go.

Will be an interesting rest of the summer for the Nuggets front office.

QFT Andre is a solid player but his offense is terrible, his decision making is questionable at best but his defense is good, however, that didn't seem to help against GS. Nuggets need a shooter more than anything else. No point in blowing cap flexibility on Monte.

He's just waaay to passive/unselfish. Similar to Lebron minus the other physical/offensive capabilities.

He wants to be 2nd or 3rd fiddle and since the Nuggets have no guy willing to step up consistently and GS does it actually makes sense considering allegedly he took less money.

According to one source, the Nuggets offered Iguodala a five-year contract worth $60 million — with $52 million guaranteed.

It looks like they're gonna give the younger guys a chance to step in...which I don't mind

Lawson/Miller
Fournier/Brewer
Chandler/Hamilton
Faried/Randolph/Authur
McGee/Mozgov

Hickson does bring more energy.

I didn't watch the Jazz much but Foye shot 41% from 3 last year and it's supposedly a S&T Nuggets would get a $12 million trade exception too

(3 years 9 million team option for the last year for Foye)

Management didn't have a good plan for the off season. These moves seem desperate and unfocused. We need shooting really badly.

Source: Wolves exploring options to bring back Corey Brewer
Posted by: Jerry Zgoda under Wolves management, Wolves players, Wolves news Updated: July 9, 2013 - 2:25 PM

The Wolves are exploring options of a sign-and-trade with Denver for free agent and former Timberwolves forward Corey Brewer, a source close to Brewer said Tuesday.
The Wolves are looking for a defensive-minded swingman as their next move after last week reaching contract agreements with offensive-minded Kevin Martin and Chase Budinger.
Brewer turned 27 in March and last season developed into an important role player on the Nuggets' 57-win team.
The Wolves still are trying to trade either guard J.J. Barea or Luke Ridnour to make salary-cap room for other moves.
Money is an issue in obtaining Brewer because without a sign-and-trade, the only slot the Wolves might have is that $2.6 million cap "room" exception and Brewer certainly is looking for more than that.
The source said the Wolves "would love" to obtain Brewer, but added the two sides are working on those salary-cap money issues.
The Wolves drafted Brewer seventh overall in 2007 and traded him to New York in 2011. The Knicks soon waived him and he signed with Dallas, with whom he was a little-used reserve during the Mavericks run to the 2011 NBA title.

Hope brewer re signs w/ Denver. He a good shooter & defender. Also feel he get a lot of pt since gallo still rehabbing his acl rite?

I don't know how I feel about Brewer. He's inconsistent but we need bodies but then Evan won't develop. My dream (realistic scenario)

Trade Andre Miller for a 2nd round draft pick & tube socks
Let Brewer go

Lawson/Green
Gallo (post-Jan)/Evan /Hamilton
Quincy Miller/Wilson
Faried/Arthur
Javale/J.J

Mozgov/Randolph odd man out

And when Gallo comes back whoever performed better out of Hamilton/Miller they get to be the starting 3 and Wilson our 6th man.
But I also know Wilson complained about minutes so maybe start him but then our bench isn't that explosive unless Green is the point guard I think he can be.
