DISINTEGRATION: The Day My '99 Jordan IV Retros Died – Post yr. imploded kicks!

Went out a month ago in perfectly fine J IV Retros – my favorite joints of all time. Halfway home, the insides basically disintegrated...

Perfectly fine from above. But below...

The Air Max Unit is basically removable now. Great... And still perfect from above...

Lesson? Rock your stuff before it's too late. What happened to these guys is tragic, but they had a good run. Thing is, I've got older joints still going strong (JXI IEs, knock on wood) – but whateves...

I'm gonna replace the midsole with a pair of militarys. I refuse not being able to wear of my favs of all time.
It takes forever to scrape all that foam off and I'm still not finished

 yet.

...that'll happen to that kind of midsole over the years. your XIs should be okay...sole might seperate but I think you can just shoe goo it back on if need be.

My Black and red IVs split on the left shoe a few months ago. They still look DS too. Now they are just for looks....sold my white cements before it was too late. I dont know if I can downgrade to these terrible retro IVs being released after having the OGs and retro 99s.

Yeah, it wuz weird because in the SportChek a clerk was asking about them and why they've got "Nike Air" on the back.

Then I walk out the mall and all I heard was this flapping sound coming from my feet. All the inner foam also exploded and near-coated my socks as I walked home...
