I plan on doing the coast to coast this year and/or next.

How many days would I need to experience all of Disneyworld? I've read in this thread and have been told that Disneyworld is huge.

i would say at least 3-4 days, 5 days giving you time to see everything and do some things again

Yah I've heard of the terrible guests in the Shanghai location, parents not caring and letting their kids pee in the bushes, trash everywhere and people not caring and trampling and jumping over on any fenced decocations.

However I figure that was just on opening and I assume (hope) it would be much better these days and security is more strict. I think sometime towards the end of last year there were reports that attendance were pretty low already too so hopefully that helps.

But yah I am not getting my hopes up.

I want to do the Coast to Coast this year too but probably won't be able to if I go to Paris.

As for experiencing WDW, that sound about right but I'd personally add a few more days and go to Universal there too and visit both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley. It is crazy how divided their attractions are over there, Universal has like 2-3 parks as well? Though I think one of them is a water park.

Dont recommend Disney Shanghai, but that was from a friend that was there during the opening few weeks. What about Tokyo?

Gonna be at Disneyland on February 18th. Geeked to see the ELP, it was my favorite thing growing up. That music is going to have me lit.

I know it's still a few years away but I kind of want to wait for Universal Japans Mario World before going to Disney Tokyo, 2 birds 1 stone.

Though I have been dying to visit Japan but I can wait.

Me too! Straight memories!
Sucks that you have to pay extra just to see it.... :{

The extra fee is just tomorrow night (I believe) if you want to see it a day/night early. They close the park early and you get to go there with a lot less people. Not sure if the whole park will remain open so you could go on other rides though.

It should be included with your park ticket any other days.

All of WDW? I would say a week at least. 4 theme parks and 2 water parks plus Disney Springs (where the Trophy Room is located)

Mario World. Didn't know about that. Yeah Japan has been top of travel list. Hear so many great things.

The extra cost is for the special opening event. It will be a nightly event for all regular ticket holders afterwards.

How big is Disney Springs? Is it significantly bigger than Downtown Disney here in CA?

I mean Downtown Disney is like bargain outdoor strip mall :lol I am just curious how big it is in comparison?

I imagine it is more like Universals CityWalk? Not in size but in variety of things to do.

There's just really nothing for me in Downtown Disney outside of browsing through the big Disney store and getting some Starbucks :lol

i forgot about the water parks at WDW, if you wanna hit those too a week would be good.

Disney Springs is huge compared to downtown disney. it's been a few years since i was there but i would say it's like 3x as big. it's not a single strip like downtown disney, and the layout is kinda confusing. i remember losing my bearing for a bit walking around :lol

Disney springs is huge I mean it's huge lol... After the expansion it about doubled in size .. you can shop at Uniqlo(only one in the south) Zara MAC huge UA store trophy room etc etc ..the parking it's not a nightmare anymore since they build two huge parking garages

They basically added alot more stores and restaurants plus a makeover

I did 5 at the parks and still didn't get to see everything. I'd say 6 if you want to be leisurely about it.
What in the what. That many days? Yeah, this trip will have wait then

Bigger than citywalk for sure.

Disney Springs is enormous compared to Downtown Disney. They have a movie theater, Cirque di Soleil, and a bowling alley all on the same side of the complex. I stayed at Bay Lake Towers and really enjoyed the convenience of the buses that took me to and from the parks and DS.

Electrical Parade debuts back again tonight for those that paid $95 to attend the exclusive party and although it is sunny now, there was suppose to be a big storm coming in by tonight so chances are it'll get cancelled.

And damn, Disney Springs sounds like an actual theme park in itself :lol Downtown Disney does have a theater but I am not even sure if people watch movies there outside of special events? They did/will demolish the closed House of Blues and open up a new bowling alley so that's something but really I am not sure I'd go there for such activities just to avoid the crowd/hassle/parking.

Used to love the House of Blues though, awesome concert venue there,.

Disney springs is enourmous. Has what feels like 30 restaurants and 50+ shops. Plenty of entertainment and outdoor music on weekends (but super busy). The new buzz there is Blaze Pizza, as it's one of the better value options in the place and damn good (there's not many in FL so its new to us). I can't wait for paddlefish to open up.

I just got AP's for my wife and I. We took our 4 month old daughter last weekend and spent a day in Animal Kingdom and a day in Magic Kingdom. It was both our first time at AK as we usually just did MK as kids growing up. I was pleasantly surprised. It may just be out new favorite park of the 4. And that's before Pandora opens up.

Live Stream from the Main Street Electrical Parade Special Event to those who cares...
