I kno on Nt we talk about the same artist Jay, Nas, Big, Pac and etc. But I was digging through the crates I found Quik Is The Name

So I want to know where would you rank him
top5
top 10
and so forth
 
I have most of his albums and I'm sure he was big in the West for awhile when his albums dropped but for some reason ppl didnt gravitate towards his musicenough for me. He is a top tier producer I just dont know where I would rank him.

Very underrated. Quik is the Name is my first rap album i've ever owned so i'm probably bias but i'ma say he ranks somewhere in the top 15 for me.

Quik is the Name, the album, however is in my Top 5-10.

As a producer, I don't think there is any question dude is Top 10 material. Personally, he's easily one of the best to ever do it. I know a lot ofpeople hate on the track he did for the Black Album, but the fact that Jay sought him out for his so-called retirement album speaks volumes. Real recognizereal.

As an emcee, I can't really say where I'd rank him. For me, he'd be near the top of the list, but thats just because I'm a huge fan. Ican't see a lot of other people sharing that sentiment though, in this day and age.

As a producer/rapper, Quik is the best to do it, in my book. The beats are straight masterpieces. And as a rapper, his flow is tight and his subject matter iseasy to relate to--broads, drank, partying and living everyday life havin' fun.

In short, DJ Quik is a legend.
 
i dont even classify him with rappers.

quik is a musician. def one of the most talented dudes in the game period.

sadly he gets overlooked, why, i dont know.
 
im from the westcoast...quik is definitely up there as one of my fav MCs and Producers...

not that anybody cares but its QUIK's bday today..hhaha.....heard it on POWER 106 this morning....they are bangin all the dope Quik Jams today....requestany Quik song today
