I think that the currently plan set out by President Obama has the best chance to succeed because it is regulated competition with a system check with the public option to keep costs down. There could definitely be abuse within the system but there is abuse and fraud in everything.

I support it, but there are a lot of barriers to overcome. And people need to stop using the word communism and socialism as an excuse. We had a very flawedMedicare system that is quite socialistic ATM.

LULZ. i was just talking about this with my mom yesterday. I'm both american and canadian, and canada's health care > US. a family friend in the USpays a monthly premium of 600 dollars a month, and she has a co-pay of 20 dollars for EVERY doctor's visit. not to mention, if she is admitted to ahospital for life threatening injuries if she has a freak accident, she'll also have to pay up to a few thousand dollars.

in canada, all that BS is free.

health care should be a right, NOT A PRIVILEGE.

agreed....
my wife is from canada, she broke her toe... went directly to the hospital...
i have nagging injuries that still bother me and i wouldnt dare step foot into a hospital.... too afraid of the debt that its gonna cause me.
my Mom has worked for 30 years for GM, and has injuries due to the job and now cant even afford her healthcare because of the settlement.
total BS,
My Father-In law is diabetic, and he gets all the healthcare possible, whenever he needs it... Canada ftw

if you dont see Universal Healthcare in the US as a Win, then you are a selfish individual.
