[| -- Drake - "Best I Ever Had" (OFFICIAL VIDEO PREMIERE) Directed By kanYe West -- |]

didnt read the whole thread so it might have been said but i did read alot of negativity

i mean its kanye and drake so you should have known you were getting a str8 forward video with a main chick and drake singing to her/praising her the wholetime

i look at it more like that's his "team" his starters...like all the pimps and playas on NT claim they have
laugh.gif
he wasnt tryna be too serious and direct and make it a str8 love song videoi.e. birthday sex

and yes it might backfire with the females but i doubt it...maybe a small amount

If he made a video that followed the lyrics too specifically, it would be boring and similar to 1,000 other rap videos. This was much more unique, gave a spin on the theme of the song, made it less "female-like," and allowed for a reasonably funny double entendre joke about taking D--not to mention multiple good looking women bouncing around the entire time.

I hoped NT would have more multi-dimensional rap fans that could enjoy a video that didn't have to use the song to spell out the plot.

I'm just too old for this.

end of the day it has this other meaning....but the majority won't see it like that

Word. Video flew over a lot of NTers heads. Although, I am not surprised.

Child please. This is garbage. I don't know whether you're Drake or Kanye fans and you're trying to defend one or both of them but there isn'tany deeper message in this. Video is just all about T&A with no substance. That's why people don't like. And there's probably mad Drake fansdisappointed because they were hoping this video would help him blow up even more, but it's not. He's going to alienate his most loyal fanbase....thewomen. He doesn't even have an album out yet to be alienating certain fans with erotic basketball themed videos. Son might as well have done a tip drillremake. Don't try to play it like the video is a metaphor for something when it's not.....they would have been better off if they would've justkept it strictly T&A without trying to disguise it as something else. Drake and Yeezy ain't fooling anybody with this mess.

NOW.......on to what really matters....... WHO HAS GIFS?????

You really think that? What does Kanye have to gain by sabotaging Drake's career? And playing it safe would have gotten him no where. Thisisn't Degrassi. He's trying to reach a greater audience than teenage girls and boys.

Oh yea, Rosa Acosta FTW!

Pretty much...

I'm obviously a huge fan but this was despicable. Pull all the metaphors you want...Kanye is a perv (ya'll remember those stories about him and pornright?) and pulled Drake into this... I know Drake was thinking "this can't be a good idea." Drake just blew a lot of fickle female fans as well.

Dude is a trending topic on twitter with damn near all the comments being 90% W T F and 8% boobs and the rest
eyes.gif

Biggest mistake of his career thus far...I hope he can rebound and/or address the situation...

Video was boo boo.

I only liked the first 15 seconds. What school did they shoot this at?

I liked the video
laugh.gif

And my man said the metaphor could be you don't have to be the "BEST" to win...that's why the average girls won

Bishop Ford HS in Brooklyn.

Damn, I really wanted to see him blow up. I have a feeling this will hold him back a bit.

Enjoyed the video though. Females are amazing.

I don't think they're gay. You gotta remember the age group on this site varies. I just think some of these guys are children and don't likefemales yet. They still think woman have coodies.

OK I'm late as hell....but I thought the video matched the song perfectly. I mean ya'l mad over how "graphic" it is because ya'l wanthim to get hits but the video does suit the song. And the dialogue parts within the video breaks it down even more.

Ya'll are trippin. Ain't no metaphor in the video, its just T & A bouncing around. Doesnt make any sense considering most of his fanbase isfemale, if he wanted to throw a bunch of T & A in a video he should have waited n done it for a different song

I swear ya'll be going to great lengths to defend Drake and Kanye's "vision"...son effed up on the video. Point blank.

*yet with all that said...I still dont' mind watchin the video*

How do you know there's no metaphor in the video? Redman brought up some valid points. And that's why I thought it made sense for Drake todo this type of video out of the gate. He already got the females. He's not gonna lose them. Nelly didn't lose his with Tip Drill and Drake ain'tlosing his with this video. If anything he's gonna gain more fans from this video.

You guys don't understand marketing. This is a perfect way to get a mainstream buzz for Drake. Just like Em, 50, (insertany other controversial new artist). If the video gets a lot of backlash and parents/media speaks out against it, kids (white kids especially who will buy thenext album) will eat that up. Thus, exponential sales for the canadian. It's a great marketing move. You'll see.
