I had one of those 1mx slim shirts before back when I use to club. I think I ripped it that night. 40% off I'm gonna see if there are any athletic crap I can grab though if they even make that kinda stuff.

i have like 3 dozen 1mx shirts. i used to LIVE in express in college :smh: :wow:

i gave a few of the old man striped joints away but i do like their shirts for having wild BRIGHT colors you guys mentioned..they look good on my mocha skin tone and fit the climate of where i live

the shirts do feel like they are made of newspaper though as someone once said on here.

i only go there for their sock deals now thats 4 for $20 but usually always on sale so u can get like 4 pairs for like 10 bucks with all the sales and discount cards. crazy socks addict

Straight out of college I bought mostly express' photographer pants to wear to work. Hated their super bright shirts. Most of their things are overpriced for the quality.

H&M is the best bargain store to start changing your wardrobe out of college imo. When you get the styles and fit covered then you can upgrade to pricier more durable items

Twocg, that bag doesn't look like it would hold up. I think people here recommend jack spade (on sale) and maybe filson.

hey everyone, just wanted to ask for some advice and opinions on some suits to invest in. just graduated from college and as a gift moms wants to buy me a suit for when i go on interviews, we've only looked at stores like Burlington and JC Penny

. I have a "suit" now that I've been wearing but the fit is off since i first bought the pieces, here's a picture of it taken from last year:

HM blazer - bought 3yrs ago, been lifting so its fitting crazy tight as you can see

CK pants - bought 4yrs ago, getting a little tight too now

Dress shirt from Ross, tight on the neck now

We saw some nice looking suits but the main problem i always seem to have is that the blazer fits my body nicely but is too tight on my arms/bicep. When i go up in size to accommodate for the arms the chest and body fits too loose and looks boxy, but I'm sure that can be fixed by a tailor right?

So i guess my questions are:

1. Good places to look for a stater suit

2. what to look for in a Suit

Looking for a briefcase like this in black.
Slim, leather with a minimalist profile.

I obviously can't afford this one
But anything with a similar design and much lower price tag is good enough, to start of.

That's not a suit, bro

A suit is a jacket and trousers made from the same fabric in the same color.

Not sure what your budget is but I would lurk for an on sale J. Crew one as a starter. I wouldn't recommend MTM from the jump since you'll most likely mess up your measurements and have an ill fitting suit and wasted the money.

Most will say to stick with navy or light gray as a first suit. My first suit was a gray PoW and it did find in interviews. Note that I don't work in law or finance where heavy dress code is enforced.

Not Goyard prices but if you can afford to invest in a quality leather piece, go Clegg.

(I actually thrifted this model  )

Wes1er,

Go express for a starter. If you can make it to the store today, they have a 40% off sale running. If not, ask your mom to charge a few sizes online and return the ones that don't fit.

Keep the jacket that fits your chest and arms good and is boxy in the midsection. You can get that taken in at a tailor. You will likely never find a perfect off the rack fit.

My suggestion comes out to around $210.

Grey works too:

Go to a nice department store (Nord, Barneys, Bloomies, NM etc) ..hit up Brooks Bros..boutiques..get measured by a menswear guy, tell him the style u want..and try on a bunchhhh of suits. Don't look at the price or brand. Look for fit. Try on a wide variety CK, Brioni, Canali, Hugo Boss, Armani, Zegna, Abboud, house brands..etc. Then when u see a suit that fits near perfect..shop for a deal, do research, wait for sales, and find similar suits that may be more affordable...
u can read all the "tips" and reviews..but nothing can compare to getting off ur laptop and trying on a variety of suits..
hope this helps
Let me add that in nicer dept stores or boutiques the guys working are pretty good when it comes to suits. you would be surprised that these expensive suits like 1-2k can be had at like 65% off if you do ur HW..

I've copped 2k suits for $5-600 with ease..
