I have a wedding I'm attending a month from now. I don't have that long Bespoke paper even though I know that's what I really need. I have extremely long arms, broad shoulders & big traps, making the process of finding a manageable OTR difficult.

I already am spending on some AE shoes so I don't want to go over $500. Where should I look for a well fitting suit for a muscular frame? I'll likely need either 44L or 46R & the selection isn't all that great in my initial searching

Had to take in the midsection, taper the arms, and shorten the sleeves slightly.

SS is probably going to run you a lot extra on tailoring if you are built like that...im a 42R but with broad square shoulders and was quoted about $150 to fix some shoulder divots on a sienna-line suit ($700)...decided it wasn't worth and went mtm

although I'm still have some issues after going mtm...the jacket's sleeve head are dimpling and the second time its gone back for alterations...the company said if it needs a third round of shoulder work, they would redo the jacket

Agreed. $200 should be for your suit. You may luck up and find a Calvin Klein at TJMaxx or Marshall's. 30 on a decent shirt, at least $150 on the shoes. But these should be staples in your closet.

$200 is doable if there is an H&M or Uniqlo around you. It isn't going to last a lifetime but for starters, it is more than enough.

At H&M, a full suit, white shirt, tie, socks, shoes can all be had for $200 and probably have some left for 20 piece chicken nugget at Mickey D's.

H&M also has a 20% off single item if you sign up for their email.


I don't think that is a bad choice for those just getting into things and then they can move on from there once they get hired and get paid. Soon enough they'll be rocking all white and all red arenas too.

I'm biased since the first time I went there I had to make $5k stretch five months :x But when I went back a year later I spent twice that amount in two weeks. So that's why I say that it can be as cheap or as expensive as you want it to be.

There is definitely a lot of money there and a lot of ways to spend money it too.

Most of Asia's mega cities such as Seoul, Tokyo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai are extremely expensive. They make US cities such as NYC, San Fransisco, DC feel relatively affordable. Our most expensive cities are practically a bargain in comparison.
