If you live somewhere that gets snow and cold in the winter look for something with a rubber / lug sole and is durable. Black Friday is coming up, maybe wait for some good sales.

I second this. I go to school in Illinois and they are perfect. Waterproof is really handy. Although as I asked a few pages back, they are kind of hard to style around. But for functionality they are a good choice.For the snow I have a pair of bean boots...
LE canvas made some nice ones but they sat too low on my waist, felt awkward so i returned them, but they are very slim...Looking for a nice pair of slim chinos.. I usually wear a 31x32 in the Urban Slim Chinos from JCrew.. Has anyone tried Lands End or Uniqlo? How is the quality/material? I dry clean my chinos does LE or Uniqlo fade?
