I guess I'd suggest visting H&M or Zara? Those are more affordable suit that fits well. I'd also suggest checking out Nordstrom Rack, kind of hard to pin point a certain suit with vague details. For general use, don't go black, navy or charcoal is best.

thanks rfx45. they actually just opened a Nordstrom Rack near me so ill be checking that out. just curious why not black for general use? because i would of got black thinking its for general use lol. this is a great thread. inspired me to do what ive been wanting to do the past 3 years and dress better and get away from wearing my everyday jeans tee and jordans. im so over it. i actually have ok dressier clothes ive bought in the past but prolly wore them wrong since all i wore were Js and vans. will post pics and ask for suggestions on proper fits.

Black is pretty formal and it isn't as versatile as navy, which can go with almost any colors you could think of, even black. Charcoal is the same way, it just works better with other colors better. Plus your choice of shoes wouldn't be limited, black suits only really works with black shoes or on rare occasions, navy or red/burgundy. Navy can go with almost any shades of brown out there, including both smooth leather or suede. Works great with black shoes too.

There are exceptions and chances are no one is going to say anything to you when you wear a black suit but it also seems "safe." Nothing wrong with that but there are other better options, leave the black suits for formal events and funerals.

Looks Like a Timex. Jcrew Sells the replaceable straps for them during the warmer seasons.

where can i find these beans?

The one top (Red) and bottom ones can be found at GoodWoodNYC.com....not sure about the middle one though.

As for that watch...since I saw it posted I've been trying to track it down. Jcrew does still sell the watch bands, I'm going to purchase one but I'm having trouble finding a gold-!%! faced timex. All the ones I'm finding are silver or black rimmed.

rfx, any suggestions on a slimmer fitting parka ?

was hoping you'd know something that wouldn't break the bank. it gets come here on east coast during the winter and i'm about to drop $710 on a canada goose if nothing else pops up.

I know the conventional wisdom on suits is that navy/charcoal are pretty much the most versatile, but I personally think navy >>>> charcoal.

In fact, I think charcoal is drab and way too safe and just screams "I want to blend in."

I'd cop a charcoal suit if I had like 5+ suits in the rotation but until then I'd rather go different shades of navy, then grey. Charcoal is almost as bad as black to me.

Thoughts?

I went JCrew to build my suit collection. It fits pretty well and it is relatively affordable. You could go with a cotton one for like $400 total

I'm assuming what you're really looking for info on is the strap and not the watch itself?  You can pick up that strap for like $10 or less on eBay.  Search Nato or Military Strap on eBay.

Hey all,

I have another freebie (completely free---no shipping cost either) for that lucky someone.

This is a New Without Tags Theory tie.  3" at the thickest.  Navy Blue w/Light Grey stripes.  Retail runs $98 I think, too thick for me.

Message me if interested, we'll do it a little different this time though.  However many messages I get by tomorrow on 11/11 @ 11:11 AM EST, I'll choose a random number X, and whoever was the Xth person to message me, gets it!  This way you don't have to be online RIGHT NOW to get it.

Best of luck fellas!
